We're after Inca treasures this time 'n they're hidden somewhere in the Llanganatis Mountains down in Ecuador. There was enough of 'em 't fill a good sized buildin 't a depth of twelve foot. Now that's a lot of loot. The feller that hid 'em was mighty clever 'n we had a dickens of a time tryin 't figure out what he'd done we with 'em. Ya ain't gonna believe what finally turned the trick fer us. In order 't get 't them mountains we had 't pass through headhunter country. From ever description we had of 'em we knew they'd be after our heads. They'd take 'em 'n pop the eyes out of 'em 'n shrink 'em 'n hang 'em in their huts 't remind 'em how fierce they was 'n how dumb we was. Yer gonna meet Nacho 'n Luca. They're gonna be our guides inta where we can start huntin fer the treasures on our own. They supplied Big Mike 'n Dr. Jack Ford with hosses 't ride that was right out of King Arthur's time. Before we left Santa Fe I got together with our gunsmith 'n told him where we was headin 'n what we was gonna be up against. He came up with a new weapon fer us that will knock yer socks off. As ya know if ya've been trackin us, we left some of the Ottoman Empire treasures behind us when we was last in the Mediterranean Sea. We're goin back after 'em. As usual Sam was workin on uncoverin another treasure fer us 't discover. This time we was goin deep inta the heart of Mexico 't look fer the seven caves of Chicomoztoc. They was the origin caves of five indigenous tribes down there 'n it would mean the world 't 'em if we could find 'em. Now as ya can see right quick that only accounts fer five of 'em. That leaves two more. Wal now, them other two was supposed 't be loaded with some of the purest veins of gold on earth 'n if we could find 'em it was gonna help the five villages we was workin with attract their young'uns back. They'd been leavin till there was only the real young 'n mostly old folks left. The lure of modern civilization was too strong fer 'em. Where we was gonna be explorin was as primitive as ya can get. It was infested with Mexican banditos that was as mean as a stepped on rattler. We had 'em breathin down our necks 'n we knew they'd do us in 'n take everthin we had if they ever got the chance. I'll bet ya knew we was gonna make it 't Egypt on one our treasure hunts. Wal now, that's just what we're doin this time. Jeffrey, Sam's assistant there in our offices in Santa Fe, dug up some very interestin stuff on Pharaoh Harihor who was a high priest before he became a pharaoh. That put him in a unique situation regardin the tombs 'n treasures of ever pharaoh before him. Legend says he was the richest pharaoh ever 'n Sam was bettin he knew how he got that way. He was also bettin he could find the tomb of Harihor even though hunder'ts of others had tried it 'n had come up empty handed. Before we head 't Egypt though we have 't take care of what we was gonna do with our business "OBJ Treasure Hunters, Inc." Things was gettin absolutely crazy on us 'n we had 't make a major decision bout what 't do. Once we got out there among the tombs lookin fer Harihors, we was set upon by a band of grave robbers. They was a fearsome bunch 'n was bristilin with firepower. They wanted Big Mike. They was bettin we'd pay 'em a king's ransom 't get him back 'n they was shore right bout that. Yer gonna have 't sit down 't read what we found under the Sphinx. Whoever created what we found there was one of the greatest minds ever. I wonder if aliens had a hand in it? We're headed 't the bottom of the biggest hole in the earth in North America, the Grand Canyon. Sam's research helpers uncovered information bout an ancient civilization developin a very advanced civilization there thousands of years ago. They say there have been those that discovered it but took the location 't their graves with 'em. Course ya know Sam learnin stuff like that got him all fired up 't head there 't see if we could find any evidence of 'em. This time we're headed inta cannibal country agin. The Jaguar People was said 't be the worst cannibals on earth 'n we had 't go through their territory 't get 't where we was goin. Before we could get 't land of the Jaguar People we had 't fight our way through other hostile savages that was determined 't do us in. They caught us in the rivers we was travelin. I think yer gonna like the way we took 'em on. Before we left 't join up with Dr. Jack Ford 'n his team we ran across a book written by the son of a feller named Webb Thomas. Thomas had made six attempts 't find the same thing we was lookin fer. He disappeared never 't be heard from agin. The accounts of them attempts was awful grisly 'n I did my best 't let others l know what we was up against goin after the treasures this time. We've just gotten back from Brazil 'n found Luke Mephistopheles, the attorney who defended Uncle Timothy 'n Angus O'Day, was busy tryin 't track 'em down. They'd been missin fer more than half a year now 'n Luke was determined 't find 'em. Seems Timothy had told him he knew a family secret bout Sam that Sam would pay through the nose 't keep quiet. Luke made a huge mistake when he went 't Hammer 't try 'n find out what happened 't Eddie McGrath. He knew Eddie was with Timothy 'n Angus when they disappeared. Once Hammer knew what Luke was tryin 't do he got on the trail of Eddie too. Luke had talked Black O'Day, Angus's son inta joinin him in the hunt. Hammer brought two of his cohorts Paddy 'n Maddy along with him. They all wound up in Santa Fe, each determined 't be the first 't find those they was lookin fer. Yer in fer a surpise when ya learn how we was dealin with Black O'Day 'n Paddy 'n Maddy. Dress casual like cause Santa Fe is a mighty causal place. Ya remember don't ya bout us findin Merlin's treasure? While we was down findin the Atahualpa treasure Sir Thomas Mitchell over there in Camelot sent a telegram sayin he'd discovered what he was callin Merlin's cavern. He found a book on a pedestal in the cavern 'n fer the life of him couldn't make heads 'r tails of it. Since we was gone Marie wired back 'n asked him 't please send the book 't us. He wired us sayin that book was stuck 't that pedestal 'n he was bettin an army couldn't move it. In the same wire he was wantin 't know if we'd be interested in comin back over 'n takin a look at it. See yer already thinkin ahead of us knowin we'd be as curious as a cat lookin fer a mouse bout that book. As soon as we could we made arrangements 't get over there 'n take a look. Big Mike 'n Dr. Jack Ford had made arrangements 't write a book on the Atahualpa treasure. Just like them Ottoman Empire treasures were back 't finish gettin the rest of the Atahualpa treasure. We thought we had the headhunters that helped us last time ready 't help us agin 'n got the surprise of our lives. Not only wasn't they not gonna help us, I thought the young headhunters was gonna talk the older ones inta doin us in. I'm mighty thankful Sam 'n Me had them new powers of ours. We've got Dr. Jack Ford 'n his team with us as well as Long John Hook 'n all the Aussies he always has with him.
