Menschenrechtsverletzungen, die in der Pragmatik der Kulturvernichtung haufig auftreten, legen die Planung intensiver Strategien nahe. Voraussetzung fur erfolgreiche Intervention ist die Kenntnis der dem kulturellen Verlust zugrundeliegenden Mechanismen. Es wird ein Funktionsmodell vorgestellt, das den Zuwachs an Dominanz, den eine Kultur gegenuber anderen erfahrt, mit der Zunahme an Effektivitat erklart, die das Resultat vorangegangener Syntheseprozesse ist und somit in der Akkumulation erfolgreicher Strategien besteht. Die Dominanz eines Gesellschaftssystems fuhrt dazu, dass andere Kulturgruppen, die mit ihr konfrontiert werden, zunachst als Subsystem angekoppelt werden, bevor sie ihre Auflosung erfahren.
