Robert De Niro plays a nerd with a mission, a fantasist who is determined to get himself on television, namely the Jerry Langford Show. But when Langford (Jerry Lewis) gives him the cold shoulder, De Niro hatches a banal kidnap plan.

Oliver Stone's detailed examination of possible answers to unsolved mysteries surrounding John F. Kennedy's assassination. Kevin Costner plays New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, who remained unconvinced by the Warren Commission Report and launched his own investigation. This film was released on a wave of controversy and led to calls for Congress to re-open government records from the 1977 House Select Committee on the assassination. Stone weaves actual archive footage with historical reconstruction and conjecture to present his argument that Kennedy was killed by the CIA due to his desire to withdraw troops from Vietnam. Darren Aronofsky directs this elegaic time-travelling odyssey, in which Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz star in a series of storylines about a man's struggle to save the woman he loves. In one storyline, 16th-century Spanish conquistador Tomas Creo (Jackman) sets out to find the fabled Tree of Life in order to save his queen, Isabel (Weisz) from the Inquisition. In a modern-day storyline, Jackman is Tommy, a scientist desperately searching for the medical breakthrough that will save the life of his cancer-stricken wife, Izzie (Weisz). In a future timeline, Tom (Jackman) is a 26th-century astronaut travelling through deep space - and finally beginning to grasp the mysteries of life that have consumed him for so long.

Biblical epic directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins. The film tells the story of Noah (Crowe), the last of the pre-flood Patriarchs. Considered a madman by many, Noah has visions of an apocalyptic flood that will wash over the earth and wipe out the sinful from existence. Instructed by these visions to build a vessel that will enable Noah, his family and two of every living creature to live through the deluge and begin the planet's repopulation, he begins construction on an ark. However, his project attracts the attention of his nemesis Tubal-cain (Ray Winstone) and his followers who threaten Noah's family and the ongoing construction of the vessel. The supporting cast includes Emma Watson, Douglas Booth, Nick Nolte and Frank Langella.

Nico
Nico Toscani is a martial arts detective who discovers that a group of drug barons are about to bring chaos to the streets of Chicago. With the help of his partner he soon discovers that the drugs cartel is run by Zagon, a CIA official with whom Nico had worked with during the Vietnam war.

Fire Down Below
The hills of Jackson, Kentucky, have been poisoned with dumped toxins for too long. EPA Marshal Jack Taggert, out to avenge the murder of a colleague, is appointed to discover who exactly is destroying the environment, but this proves to be no mean feat. Most of the locals have been bought off or intimidated into silence, so Taggert goes undercover and finds that local tycoon Orin Hanner is far from above suspicion.

Exit Wounds
When 50 kilos of heroin is stolen from the property vaults of a top security prison in Detroit, the evidence points to the officers in charge. But no one will admit anything as the heroin is worth $5m to them. Gangster Latrell Walker is determined to find the thieves as he was due to get some big money out of the deal. But he has to deal with cop Orin Boyd, who is also on the trail of the thieves. The two decide to join forces and try and find those responsible for this conspiracy.
