Look-Ahead Based Sigma-Delta Modulation (Hardcover, 2011 Ed.): Erwin Janssen, Arthur Van Roermund Look-Ahead Based Sigma-Delta Modulation (Hardcover, 2011 Ed.)
Erwin Janssen, Arthur Van Roermund
R4,253 Discovery Miles 42 530 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The aim of this book is to expand and improve upon the existing knowledge on discrete-time 1-bit look-ahead sigma-delta modulation in general, and to come to a solution for the above mentioned specific issues arising from 1-bit sigma-delta modulation for SA-CD. In order to achieve this objective an analysis is made of the possibilities for improving the performance of digital noise-shaping look-ahead solutions. On the basis of the insights obtained from the analysis, several novel generic 1-bit look-ahead solutions that improve upon the state-of-the-art will be derived and their performance will be evaluated and compared. Finally, all the insights are combined with the knowledge of the SA-CD lossless data compression algorithm to come to a specifically for SA-CD optimized look-ahead design.

Circuit Design on Plastic Foils (Hardcover, 2015 ed.): Daniele Raiteri, Eugenio Cantatore, Arthur Van Roermund Circuit Design on Plastic Foils (Hardcover, 2015 ed.)
Daniele Raiteri, Eugenio Cantatore, Arthur Van Roermund
R3,638 R3,272 Discovery Miles 32 720 Save R366 (10%) Ships in 12 - 17 working days

This book illustrates a variety of circuit designs on plastic foils and provides all the information needed to undertake successful designs in large-area electronics. The authors demonstrate architectural, circuit, layout, and device solutions and explain the reasons and the creative process behind each. Readers will learn how to keep under control large-area technologies and achieve robust, reliable circuit designs that can face the challenges imposed by low-cost low-temperature high-throughput manufacturing.

Michiel Steyaert, Arthur Van Roermund, Andrea Baschirotto
R2,845 Discovery Miles 28 450 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Analog Circuit Design contains the contribution of 18 tutorials of the 20th workshop on Advances in Analog Circuit Design. Each part discusses a specific to-date topic on new and valuable design ideas in the area of analog circuit design. Each part is presented by six experts in that field and state of the art information is shared and overviewed. This book is number 20 in this successful series of Analog Circuit Design, providing valuable information and excellent overviews of:
Topic 1: Low Voltage Low Power, chairman: Andrea Baschirotto
Topic 2: Short Range Wireless Front-Ends, chairman: Arthur van Roermund
Topic 3: Power Management and DC-DC, chairman: Michiel Steyaert.
Analog Circuit Design is an essential reference source for analog circuit designers and researchers wishing to keep abreast with the latest development in the field. The tutorial coverage also makes it suitable for use in an advanced design course.

RF-Frontend Design for Process-Variation-Tolerant Receivers (Hardcover, 2012): Pooyan Sakian, Reza Mahmoudi, Arthur Van Roermund RF-Frontend Design for Process-Variation-Tolerant Receivers (Hardcover, 2012)
Pooyan Sakian, Reza Mahmoudi, Arthur Van Roermund
R2,788 Discovery Miles 27 880 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This book discusses a number of challenges faced by designers of wireless receivers, given complications caused by the shrinking of electronic and mobile devices circuitry into ever-smaller sizes and the resulting complications on the manufacturability, production yield, and the end price of the products. The authors describe the impact of process technology on the performance of the end product and equip RF designers with countermeasures to cope with such problems. The mechanisms by which these problems arise are analyzed in detail and novel solutions are provided, including design guidelines for receivers with robustness to process variations and details of circuit blocks that obtain the required performance level.Describes RF receiver frontends and their building blocks from a system- and circuit-level perspective;Provides system-level analysis of a generic RF receiver frontend with robustness to process variations;Includes details of CMOS circuit design at 60GHz and reconfigurable circuits at 60GHz;Covers millimeter-wave circuit design with robustness to process variations."
