This book highlights cyber racism as an ever growing contemporary
phenomenon. Its scope and impact reveals how the internet has
escaped national governments, while its expansion is fuelling the
spread of non-state actors. In response, the authors address the
central question of this topic: What is to be done? Cyber Racism
and Community Resilience demonstrates how the social sciences can
be marshalled to delineate, comprehend and address the issues
raised by a global epidemic of hateful acts against race. Authored
by an inter-disciplinary team of researchers based in Australia,
this book presents original data that reflects upon the lived,
complex and often painful reality of race relations on the
internet. It engages with the various ways, from the regulatory to
the role of social activist, which can be deployed to minimise the
harm often felt. This book will be of particular interest to
students and academics in the fields of cybercrime, media sociology
and cyber racism.

This popular book is an attempt to respond to the needs of both
Muslims and non-Muslims in North America. Its purpose is simply to
acquaint the average reader with the basic teachings of Islam; not
intended to present the depth or breadth of Islam. It guides
Muslims to the median way in all matters of life, rejects
fanaticism and narrow mindedness. It provides truth about Islam, a
spiritual insight and a moral approach to the human condition. The
author hopes that "it will make them responsible citizens of their
respective countries, honorable members of the human race, and
above all else, God-minded people."
This is the first comprehensive study of Hadendowa Beja pastoralism
in Sinkat Province, Eastern Suda. The book discusses the effects of
the drought in the 1980s and shows the strategies for survival and
for pastoral rehabilitation. The various chapters deal with the
effects of drought and of human activities on the natural
environment; how pastoral migration patterns were affected and how
links to commodity and labour markets aggravated the effects of
drought; socio-cultural changes are dealt with as well, following
increased interaction between regional populations. The final
chapter discusses planning problems in the region and argues that
in areas such as the Red Sea Hills, the recurrent pastoral
disasters cannot be blamed only on the pastoralists and their
activities, but must be related to wider economic and political
contexts, in which the pastoral groups are becoming increasingly
marginalised. The book is based on material from the Red Sea Area
Programme, a joint research venture between the universities of
Khartoum and Bergen.

the truth has yet to be told.

"Howard Hughes Where his country's interests were concerned, no man
knew his target better. We were fortunate to have him. He was a
great patriot.

really knew.
