This book constitutes the proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology, DESRIST 2023, which was held in Pretoria, South Africa, from May 31–June 2, 2023. The 29 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 81 submissions. The 26 papers presented were thoroughly reviewed and selected from the 73 submissions.
