Jane Eyre:
The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall:
Wuthering Heights:
Ken Hutchison stars as the brooding and tormented lover Heathcliff in this BBC television adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic novel. Adopted as a boy by the kindly Mr Earnshaw (John Collin), Heathcliff comes to live with the family at their home, Wuthering Heights, in the Yorkshire moors. He soon falls in love with Earnshaw's headstrong daughter Cathy (Kay Adshead), a doomed relationship that plunges them both into despair when Cathy agrees to marry her rich neighbour Edgar Linton (David Robb). Tortured by his love, the dark and sinister Heathcliff refuses to relinquish his emotional hold on Cathy, and does everything in his power to destroy the lives of her and her family.
The five surviving episodes from the first three series of the long-running ITV drama starring Alfred Burke as down-at-heel private investigator Frank Marker. The first three series of the drama were produced by ABC Television, with the majority of the recordings destroyed - unlike the episodes from the later series, which were produced by Thames Television. The five full episodes that remain from the initial three series find Marker in trademark form, tackling unglamorous private eye cases such as divorces, missing persons and bankruptcies with his trademark diligence.
Young Anna Madden (Charlotte Burke) becomes a cause for concern when she begins drawing the house which appears in her dreams. She finds that she can actually visit the house herself, and discovers it to be occupied by a disabled boy. However, back in reality, Anna is slipping in and out of consciousness and this results in her being placed in medical care. It appears that her harmless dream has now turned into a very real nightmare....
