This book covers the theory, modeling, and implementation of
different RF energy harvesting systems. RF energy harvesting is the
best choice among the existing renewable energy sources, in terms
of availability, cost, size, and integration with other systems.
The device used for harvesting RF energy is called rectenna. A
rectenna can work at the microwave, millimeter-wave, and terahertz
waves. It also has the capability to operate at optical frequencies
to be used for 6G and beyond communication systems. This book
covers all aspects of wireless power transfer (WPT)/wireless energy
harvesting (WEH), basics, theoretical concepts, and advanced
developments occurring in the field of energy harvesting. It also
covers the design theory for different types of antenna, rectifier,
and impedance matching circuits used in RF energy harvesting
systems. Different future and present applications, such as
charging of vehicles, smart medical health care, self-driven
e-vehicles, self-sustainable home automation system, and wireless
drones, have also been discussed in detail.
Understanding America's Gun Culture focuses on building
understanding of some of the issues associated with U.S. gun
culture and the contemporary debate about the availability and use
of guns. This edited volume is unique in that it draws on a wide
variety of disciplines and presents perspectives on both sides of
the debate. Contributors hail from the academic disciplines of
history, social work, criminal justice, sociology, religion, and
theological ethics as well as policy agencies. Some chapters
examine the issues social-psychologically to help readers better
understand dynamics within the debate. Others pose important
ethical and philosophical questions about gun culture. Still others
address practical policy solutions for enhancing gun safety and
minimizing gun violence, even bringing in international
perspectives. This second edition includes literature published in
the last two years and two new chapters, one focusing on gender
within gun culture and another that features a conversation between
the editors and an ethnographic researcher with broad expertise in
gun culture and research and policy trends. Together, the chapters
create a thought-provoking compilation that offers insightful
findings, considers theoretical and practical implications, and
invites further exploration of the topic.

This book focuses on theory, practice and applications in the broad
areas of advanced computing techniques and intelligent engineering.
This book includes 74 scholarly articles which were accepted for
presentation from 294 submissions in the 5th ICACIE during 25-27
June 2020 at Universite des Mascareignes (UdM), Mauritius, in
collaboration with Rama Devi Women's University, Bhubaneswar,
India, and S'O'A Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, India. This
book brings together academicians, industry persons, research
scholars and students to share and disseminate their knowledge and

Different multivariate analyses techniques were used to classify 46
Indian mustard genotypes for 21 quantitative and quality traits and
were grouped into seven clusters. The highest inter-cluster
distance based on Tocher's method and Euclidean cluster analysis
was observed between cluster IV & VII and cluster II & V,
whereas intra cluster distance was found in cluster IV. Principal
components showed Eigen value more than one were used to plot all
the 46 Indian mustard genotypes in 3D plot cumulatively explaining
45.11% variability with highest element value of biological yield
per plant, siliqua on main raceme and oil content contributed
maximum towards total divergence. A line x tester analysis
involving 10 female and 4 male parents, among the parents only four
were found to be significantly superior general combiners and six
crosses reflected significant desirable sca effects as well as high
per se performance for seed yield along with oil quality and
component traits. Such type of hybrid might be useful in heterosis
breeding and subsequently isolating the desirable segregants in
carrying efficient breeding programme for improvement in Indian
mustard.
This book is related to management cases pertaining to different

personal ethics, marketing planning, creative strategy, brand
management, pricing strategy, e-commerce, segmentation, targeting,
buying behavior direct marketing, forecasting etc.
Diarrhoeal disease is a major health problem throughout the world,
and is responsible for high morbidity and mortality mainly among
children and especially in developing countries like Nepal. This
cross-sectional prospective study was designed to determine the
incidence of Cholera, Shigellosis and Salmonellosis along with
screening of the possible extended spectrum -lactamase producer
among multi-drug resistant isolates from 268 diarrhoeal patients
visiting different hospitals of Kathmandu valley and 5 other
districts of Nepal in the period of April 2010 to January 2011. The
specimens were processed by standard microbiological methods and
confirmed with serology. Bacteria have been found as one of the
common causes of diarrhoea and Cholera as one of the major reasons
of diarrhoea. This study indicates a continuing need for resistance
surveillance and rational use of antimicrobial agents to reduce the
multi-drug resistance."
This volume contains the selected poems in French translation of
two major modern Assamese poets - Nilmani Phookan and Hiren
Bhattacharyya. The poems are selected for their universal appeal.
The translator Binod Kumar Gogoi has taken utmost care to keep the
meaning of the original text. Nilmani Phookan has been influenced
by the French symbolist, and by the Anglo-American imagist poets.
Phookan's poetry is rooted in Assamese culture and replete with
images such as river, mountain, fire, water, house, flowers and
trees. His poems reach the eye, the ear, and the heart of the
readers. Phookan says, "Poetry is the voice of humanity. Whenever
one tries to listen, each person can hear in the quietness of his
own mind the flowing cadence of dawn and dusk, of truth and
beauty." The themes of Hiren Bhattacharyya's poems are very general
like nature, love, sorrow, death, protest and patriotism. His poems
are admired for their simplicity, spontaneity, lyricality, and
naturalness of style and diction. Poetry and Hiren Bhattacharyya
are inseparable. In his last poem, he writes "I want to die/ if
possible, at this very moment/ poetry has taken my sixty years/in
return, I have become rich in words ..."
