This is an honest, funny, and poignant portrayal of an adoption
journey. It's eye-opening and enlightening. Read an invaluable
resource for anyone considering tracing their birth parents,
specifically a birth mother. Follow Black Sheep as she navigates
the twists, turns, and bumps in the road to achieve her goal-to
reunite with her birth mother after over forty years. Enjoy a good
belly laugh and possibly a cry with the promise that you will not
regret reading this book. Friends admit to crying and laughing out
loud in equal measure despite already knowing the tale. Live it
with her. Be drawn into her world as she guides you step by step
toward success. All adopted people have a missing piece of the
jigsaw to find and every right in the world to find it too! Buckle
up, grab your tissues, and settle in for what will prove to be a
pretty bumpy ride.
When Mr. and Mrs. Morgan moved unto Norman Manley Road, with their
eleven year old daughter, Martha, all was well. Then suddenly it
all went bad. Breads, the name everyone called Mr. Morgan, started
drinking heavily. He began beating Martha for peeing the bed, and
physically abusing his wife, Yvonne, as well. While others corked
their ears and refrained from helping, Thompson Little, an elderly
man, who lived next door, would have none of it. Breads was a
six-footer, and weighed over three hundred pounds. Coming up
against him wouldn't be easy; even more so that he didn't respect
anyone or cared about their feelings. Breads invaded Thompson's
house on morning and threatened to beat him if he didn't stop
prying in his family's affair. Thompson's dog Perkins attacked him.
They fought, and Perkins bit him on his ass. Others got involved,
including the police. Breads was furious. Thompson soon learned the
hard price for meddling in people's business; the taste and smell
of blood, the cold-hearted murder of his loved one, and the
crippling pain it brought.
