Premiering at the Manchester Opera House in February 2020 to rave
reviews—including a notice from The Guardian that the show
“sets a new standard of spectacle,” Back to the Future: The
Musical brings the classic 1985 film to life on the theatrical
stage. Featuring music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen
Ballard and a book by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale (adapted from
their original screenplay), the show stars Tony Award–winner
Roger Bart as Doc Brown and Olly Dobson as Marty McFly. Creating
Back to the Future: The Musical offers fans of the film franchise
and lovers of musical theater an engrossing and entertaining look
at the birth of a new theatrical classic. With unprecedented access
to cast and crew, author Michael Klastorin (Back to The Future: The
Ultimate Visual History) pairs exclusive, in-depth interviews with
previously unpublished photography; excerpts from Bob Gale’s
personal journal; and a foreword by Gale to reveal and detail the
years long process, and the creative ingenuity and technical
innovation, that went into the show’s West End premiere.
Compiled from decades of visiting beaches along the Atlantic and
Gulf coasts collecting fossils and conducting extensive research, A
Beachcomber's Guide to Fossils is the definitive guide for amateur
collectors and professionals interested in learning more about the
deep history they tread on during their vacations. Authored by Bob,
Pam, and Ashby Gale, this guide offers over twelve hundred
high-quality color photographs and detailed descriptions of more
than three hundred fossil specimens found on beaches from Texas,
east to Florida, and north to New Jersey. The book includes
descriptions and identifying information for the fossil remains of
mammals, reptiles, birds, and fish. Because the tides provide a new
beach to explore every day, and beachcombers need immediate
comparison for identification, the Beachcomber's Guide is essential
for quick and easy reference. And while the seemingly infinite
varieties of shark teeth form much of what beachcombers find on
their sandy strolls, this guide also illuminates the fossilized
remains of species that walked in a different world. From
glyptodonts (a giant, prehistoric armadillo) and giant sloths to
the intricately patterned remains of the ancestors of manta rays
and pufferfish, this book not only teaches its readers not only
what treasures to look for but how to look for them.

Teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) just wants to play electric
guitar and date girlfriend Jennifer; he is also determined not to
end up a loser in life like his own parents. Father George (Crispin
Glover) is a weak-willed failure, bullied at work by his former
high school tormentor Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson), while mother
Lorraine (Lea Thompson) is an alcoholic. Marty's friend and mentor
is the eccentric Doctor Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd), who has
successfully invented his own time machine in the form of a
plutonium-powered Delorean sports car. However, after Marty travels
thirty years back in time, he discovers that he doesn't have enough
fuel to return to 1985. And, after he accidentally prevents the
first ever meeting between his own, teenage parents, Marty's own
future birth and present existence is placed in jeopardy!
"Sometimes God answers prayers, and sometimes the devil does."
16-year-old best friends Mitch Simon and Jordy Hubbard are two of
the smallest kids in their suburban high school. All they want to
do is hang together, mind their own business and survive their
junior year. But their size, their lowly status, and their rumored
sexual orientation makes them the targets of "The Syndicate," a
group of rich, arrogant kids who take pleasure in relentlessly
bullying, tormenting and humiliating them, directly and on the
internet. Desperate and powerless, with no one to turn to, Mitch
and Jordy fervently pray to heaven for help during a very intense
lightning storm. Amazingly, it soon arrives in the form of James
Batt, a seemingly clueless kid who immediately becomes the primary
focus of The Syndicate. But "J.B." isn't exactly what he seems, and
before long, the boys - and everyone else at school - are
wondering: just who is this new kid, where is he from, and what's
his agenda? Retribution High combines elements of "Carrie,"
"Dexter" and the "Friday the 13th" movies with Clint Eastwood's
"High Plains Drifter" and puts them into a contemporary high
school, with some "Tales From The Crypt" sprinkled in as well. If
you've ever been bullied and wished the worst on your tormentors,
then this is the novel you've been waiting for. It's dark, it's
twisted, it's violent and it's harsh. It's High School Horror. It's
not politically correct. And it's not family entertainment. It's a
tale in which the bad kids get what they really deserve.
Retribution isn't always divine, but it can be immensely satisfying
Note: This is the Explicit Version (red) of Retribution High. It
contains profanity, gay bashing and sexual situations. As a movie,
it would be rated R or X. For those who prefer a less extreme
experience, please select the Standard Version (green), which
contains none of the 68 words or expressions that can't be said on
network television. There is no reason to buy both versions
because, other than the language and the controversial party
sequence in Chapter 8, the scenes in both versions are the same.
Award Winning Screenwriter Bob Gale is best known as the
co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of Back to the Future and its
sequels. He has written over 30 screenplays, and various comic
books including issues of Batman, Spider-Man and Daredevil.
