This book explores various applications of deep learning-oriented
diagnosis leading to decision support, while also outlining the
future face of medical decision support systems. Artificial
intelligence has now become a ubiquitous aspect of modern life, and
especially machine learning enjoysgreat popularity, since it offers
techniques that are capable of learning from samples to solve newly
encountered cases. Today, a recent form of machine learning, deep
learning, is being widely used with large, complex quantities of
data, because today's problems require detailed analyses of more
data. This is critical, especially in fields such as medicine.
Accordingly, the objective of this book is to provide the
essentials of and highlight recent applications of deep learning
architectures for medical decision support systems. The target
audience includes scientists, experts, MSc and PhD students,
postdocs, and any readers interested in the subjectsdiscussed. The
book canbe used as a reference work to support courses on
artificial intelligence, machine/deep learning, medical and
biomedicaleducation.

This volume sets out to analyse the relation between social media
and politics by investigating the power of the internet and more
specifically social media, in the political and social discourse.
The volume collects original research on the use of social media in
political campaigns, electoral marketing, riots and social
revolutions, presenting a range of case studies from across the
world as well as theoretical and methodological contributions.
Examples that explore the use ofsocial media in electoral campaigns
include, for instance, studies on the use of Face book in the 2012
US presidential campaign and in the 2011 Turkish general elections.
The final section of the book debates the usage of Twitter and
other Web 2.0 tools in mobilizing people for riots and revolutions,
presenting and analysing recent events in Istanbul and Egypt, among
others."

intelligence and applied mathematics. As a collection of the
outputs from the ICAIAME 2021, the book is specifically considering
research outcomes including advanced use of machine learning and
careful problem designs on human-centred aspects. In this context,
it aims to provide recent applications for real-world improvements
making life easier and more sustainable for especially humans. The
book targets the researchers, degree students, and practitioners
from both academia and the industry.
In today s businesses and society, social media continues to play a
vital role in the transformation of communication into an
interactive dialogue. The success of social media has encouraged
the integration of these aspects in higher education teaching
practices. Social Media in Higher Education: Teaching in Web 2.0
provides research on the pedagogical challenges faced in recent
years in order to improve the understanding of social media in the
educational systems. It will highlight the levels of education
ranging from learning centered on the student to the collaboration
between academic networks and organizations. This reference source
is essential for practitioners, researchers, and students
interested in gaining insight into educational institutions as well
as academic communities and environments.
As web applications play a vital role in our society, social media
has emerged as an important tool in the creation and exchange of
user-generated content and social interaction. The benefits of
these services have entered in the educational areas to become new
means by which scholars communicate, collaborate, and teach. Social
Media and the New Academic Environment: Pedagogical Challenges
provides relevant theoretical frameworks and the latest research on
social media and its challenges in the educational context. This
book is essential for professionals aiming to improve their
understanding of social media at different levels of education, as
well as researchers in the fields of e-learning, educational
science, information and communication sciences, and much more.
One of the best known general techniques for developing of the
algorithms is the Backtracking method. It seeks to eliminate the
generation of all possibilities in order to get the result. The
Backtracking method can be applied to those problems for which the
solution can be represented as a vector whose elements take values
in some finite sets and who meet certain internal conditions. In
the Backtracking method, the vector elements are expressed one at a
time, assigning a value to a component will be done only after
values have been assigned to all its previous components, and no
incompatibilities exist between these values. Classical problems
solved by this method are: queens' problem, Cartesian product
generation, the generation of combinations, the 0-1 knapsack
problem. The book is structured into 7 chapters and provides the
solutions to a number of 19 classical problems by using versions of
the backtracking algorithm. Most of the paragraphs are followed by
a section with solved exercises and problems.
Ce livre presente les opportunites devant lesquelles se trouve un
manager en vue de l'optimisation du processus de production. Elles

l'ordonnancement d'atelier. Les algorithmes decrits ont ete
implementes en langage BASIC. Le livre s'adresse aux managers et
aux etudiants des facultes d'economie.
Our research aims, first of all, at reviewing the mathematical
methods and computer science tools used by specialists in political
science. The mathematical models and computerized systems are
useful both to the political science researcher and the politician.
Various problems of political science can be solved by making use
of different mathematical, linguistic or computerized models.
Secondly, our research aims at designing new and original
methodological tools to facilitate a thorough and impartial
analysis of any electoral campaign for local elections. We
introduce the concepts of accord between political discourses, from
three perspectives: themes, solutions, and political values. Also,
we use graph theory for analyzing political discourses. Some
problems (like minimal spanning tree or Hamiltonian cycle) will
help us to analyze the political discourse. Also, graph theory can
be a useful mathematical tool in analyzing the electoral platforms
or political discourses, highlighting nuclei of interest and links
between topics.
In this book it is presented the architecture of a intelligent
system for teaching and checking of the acquisition of certain
accounting competences. After presenting several didactic aspects
of accounting education and the way in which computer assisted
training can be used in learning accounting, we have reviewed the
main concepts related to intelligent agents, pedagogic agents and
multi-agent systems. The agents are grouped into subsystems. Each
subsystem deals with one learning unit. These communicate among
themselves in order to achieve the common purpose: the student's
acquisition of accounting competences. Each subsystem is, in its
turn, a multi-agent system made up of atomic agents with clearly
specified didactic tasks: teaching, testing, assessment etc.
In the context of our research, the following questions arise: Can
documentation services be automatized within online electronic
resources? Can searches using search engines be automatized? Can
online linguistic resources be automatically used? To what extent
can distributed work, distributed team research be automatized? or
How can we organize agents within a "virtual teacher"? How can we
endow a "virtual teacher" with feelings or temperament? How can we
extract pragmatic information from different texts? How can we more
effectively represent certain notions from a given field? This book
will answer such questions by creating a theoretical tool and
implementing it as architectures of multi-agent systems.
