In this US remake of his 1997 film 'Funny Games', director Michael Haneke delivers a savage critique on the way violence is portrayed in the media. Arriving at their remote holiday cabin in the Hamptons for a quiet vacation, George (Tim Roth), his wife Ann (Naomi Watts), and their young son Georgie (Devon Gearheart), find themselves subjected to a harrowing ordeal involving mental and physical torture, when two young, psychotic killers come calling.
Lars von Trier directs this sci-fi drama about the effects of depression on two sisters, Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg). Played out in two acts, the film opens with the wedding of Justine (Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgċrd): a sumptuous affair paid for by Justine's Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and her husband John (Kiefer Sutherland). However, when Justine notices a strange star in the sky, she starts behaving oddly and the wedding is ruined. The film's second act follows Justine, now extremely weak and ill, after she goes to live with her sister. As Claire and John struggle to deal with Justine's condition, astronomy buff Claire becomes increasingly concerned about a large blue planet that is threatening to collide with the earth. Charlotte Rampling and John Hurt co-star.
Off-beat indie drama. Brian Lackey (Brady Corbet) went missing for five hours when he was eight-years-old, an event that he remains convinced was the result of alien abduction. In the same small Kansas town, teenage hustler Neil McCormick (Joseph Gordon Levitt) is a confused outsider with a promiscuous mother (Elisabeth Shue) and who was abused as a child by his Little League coach (Bill Sage). Locked into their own obsessions, both young men pursue a self-destructive path that will lead them towards each other, and will result in each of them trying to exorcise the demons of their past. Also starring Michelle Trachtenberg.
Drama written and directed by Oliver Assayas starring Juliette Binoche. In the middle of a divorce, veteran actress Maria Enders (Binoche) is asked to star in a new adaptation of 'Maloja Snake' by Wilhelm Melchior, the play that launched her career two decades earlier. This time, however, Maria is not asked to reprise the role that she portrayed when she was 16, and instead is required to play middle-aged businesswoman Helena who is manipulated and eventually driven to suicide by her young assistant. To prepare for the role, Maria departs for Sils Maria, a remote region of the Alps, with her devoted assistant Valentine (Kristen Stewart). Aided by Valentine, Maria investigates the young and reckless American actress (Chloë Grace Moretz) who has been chosen to interpret the role of her character's assistant. As Maria then begins to notice more of herself in the youthful actress, she finds herself confronting some of the demons that come with her profession...

Brady Corbet directs this war drama loosely based on Jean-Paul Sartre's short story. Tom Sweet stars as a young American boy living with his parents in France just after the end of the Second World War. As he witnesses his father (Liam Cunningham)'s part in peace negotiations and the creation of the Treaty of Versailles, the boy begins to develop an angry personality, having temper outbursts at anyone who questions or challenges him. As his mother (Bérénice Bejo) tries to control her son with love and affection, it soon becomes clear that no amount of discipline can restrain him. The cast also includes Yolande Moreau, Stacy Martin and Robert Pattinson.
Drama written and directed by Ruben Östlund. A Swedish family are enjoying a ski holiday in the alps when they are faced with an impending avalanche on the mountainside. Fearing for their lives, matriarch Ebba (Lisa Loven Kingsli) rushes to protect her children Harry (Vincent Wettergren) and Vera (Clara Wetterngren) while her husband Tomas (Johannes Kuhnke) flees the site of the disaster after saving his phone. When the life-threatening avalanche turns out to be little more than snow clouds, Tomas must answer for abandoning his loved ones while struggling to regain their trust and his own status at the head of the family.
