DC's Legends of Tomorrow amps up the firepower for Season Two of the Super Hero team-up series by enlisting both a league and a legion of new characters to join the legendary crew of the Waverider as they embark on their latest mission.

In the Season One finale, the heroes encountered Rex Tyler aka Hourman who issued a dire warning. Joining Hourman will be other members of the Justice Society of America. And yet, for every force of good, there is an opposing force of darkness. In Season Two, the Legends of Tomorrow will face off against the first ever team of Super-Villains: the Legion of Doom, including Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk, Captain Cold and the Reverse Flash.

After saving the world from Vandal Savage, the Legends of Tomorrow are now charged with protecting time (past, present and future) itself, taking them across history and up against a threat unlike any humanity has ever known.

Having seen the future, traveling rogue Rip Hunter assembles a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront the unstoppable threat of the immortal Vandal Savage - a threat which not only puts the planet at stake, but all of time itself. From the creators of The Flash and Arrow comes this super hero team-up that combines characters from both shows - in addition to new heroes from the DC Comics pantheon.

After defeating the Legion of Doom, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow face a new existential threat created by their actions at the end of last season.

By revisiting a moment in time they’d already participated in, they’ve essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question and disband the team.

Challenging the Time Bureau’s authority, they recruit a hacker from the future, Zari Tomaz and continue their time travelling shenanigans, while insisting that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.

A collection of Superman films old and new. In 'Superman - The Movie' (1978), a baby from the planet Krypton develops superhuman powers under Earth's yellow sun. As an adult (Christopher Reeve) he dons red cape and pants, and flies across the world doing good deeds, whilst also hiding behind the alias of mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent.

Fellow journalist Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) falls for the muscleman in tights without realising he and her bumbling colleague are one and the same. This special-effects laden adaptation of the DC Comics series also features Marlon Brando in a highly-paid cameo and Gene Hackman as evil mastermind criminal Lex Luthor. Director Richard Lester provides a slightly tongue-in-cheek sequel with 'Superman 2' (1980), in which our hero continues to outstrip speeding bullets and leap tall buildings in a single bound, this time while preventing three arch-enemies from space from achieving world domination.

In 'Superman 3' (1983), synthetic Kryptonite turns the normally upstanding Superman into a low-grade Supersleaze, clearing the path for a megalomaniac tycoon (Robert Vaughn) and a computer whiz (Richard Pryor) to take over the world. In 'Superman 4: The Quest for Peace' (1987), Superman, moved by a schoolboy's request, determines to rid the world of nuclear weapons. However, his arch enemy Lex Luthor, now a nuclear arms entrepreneur, clones Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow) from a strand of the hero's hair and the two mighty men battle it out in space.

Finally, 'Superman Returns' (2006) is a sequel set after the events of 'Superman 2'. After eliminating General Zod and the other Kryptonian arch-villains, Ursa and Non, Superman (Brandon Routh) leaves Earth to search for his former home planet, Krypton. When he arrives he finds nothing but remnants and returns to Earth.

Upon his return, he finds a Metropolis that doesn't need him anymore. Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) is engaged to a relative of his boss (James Marsden), and to make matters worse, his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey) has contrived a plot to build a continent using the crystals of Krypton that will wipe out most of North America. Superman must again race against time to stop the psychopathic Luthor before it's too late.

Superman - The Movie (1978)
Sent by his parents from the planet Krypton just before its destruction, Superman (Christopher Reeve) fights on his adopted planet Earth for truth and justice. With special powers such as flight, super-strength, and X-ray vision, he must thwart the villainous Lex Luthor all while maintaining his alter ego Clark Kent, a bumbling reporter at The Daily Planet.

Superman 2 (1980)
Superman (Christopher Reeve) foils the plot of terrorists by hurtling their nuclear device into outer space, but the bomb's shock waves free the Kryptonian villain General Zod (Terence Stamp) and his henchmen Ursa (Sarah Douglas) and Non (Jack O'Halloran) from their imprisonment. Traveling to Earth, they threaten the planet with destruction at the same time that Superman decides to renounce his superpowers in order to live a normal life as Clark Kent with his new love, Lois Lane (Margot Kidder).

Superman 3 (1983)
Computer programmer Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor) is hired by financial tycoon Ross Webster (Robert Vaughn) to seize control of a weather satellite and annihilate Colombia's coffee crop. When Superman (Christopher Reeve) manages to thwart the plan, Webster commands Gorman to use the satellite to locate kryptonite, the Man of Steel's mortal weakness. But a missing unknown element in the kryptonite -- replaced by Gorman with tar -- causes an unintended side effect when presented to Superman.

Superman 4: The Quest for Peace (1987)
Seeing the United States and the Soviet Union engaged in a nuclear arms race that could lead to Earth's destruction, Superman (Christopher Reeve) decides that he must take action. He collects all the nuclear warheads from the world and throws them into space. Meanwhile, Superman's nemesis, Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman), has broken out of prison with a new scheme. He clones Superman with radioactive material to create Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow), a being just as powerful as the man of steel.

Superman Returns (2006)
Adventure sequel set after the events of 'Superman II'. Brandon Routh stars as the eponymous paranormal investigator in this comedy horror based on Tiziano Sclavi's Italian comics. Appointed by rival clans of New Orleans werewolves, zombies and vampires to keep a leash on any rogue elements that may threaten the status quo, Dylan Dog (Routh) soon realises he has his work cut out when he discovers that war between his clients is imminent. As the supernatural forces in the city prepare to do battle, Dylan, with the help of Elizabeth (Anita Briem) and Marcus (Sam Huntington), pins his hopes on tracking down an ancient artefact that holds the key to preventing all hell from breaking loose.
