Reese Witherspoon stars in this Academy Award-nominated drama based on the true story of Cheryl Strayed, the woman who embarked on a 1,100-mile solo hike along the Pacific Crest Trail in a journey of self-discovery. After the tragic death of her mother and with an impending divorce on the table, Cheryl (Witherspoon) decides to try to find out who she really is and why she insists on abusing her life with men, drugs and bad decisions.
