English for Academics is a four skills course aimed at university teaching and academic staff to enable them in English to deliver lectures, Skills for Study Level 1 focuses on areas such as understanding lectures, analysing texts, selecting the best sources from libraries, referencing and structuring presentations. Each unit of the book also features an Understanding-Researching-Reporting structure using both oral and written academic materials to help students develop research skills, construct effective arguments, use sources and authentic tasks to develop core academic skills and encourage analytical thinking. There are also 'Unit Tasks' that help students prepare a piece of academic writing or an oral presentation which can be used for assessment.

English for Academics is a communication skills course for academics who need to work and socialise in English. Aimed at B1 level and above, this two part series practises using English in a range of situations, from making small talk at a conference to giving a presentation, from reading a range of academic texts to writing academic correspondence.
