It is an overwhelming pleasure to be appreciated for doing what you
love to do. I've always wanted to be immortalized between the
sheets of papyrus. If only my grandmother was alive to witness me
accomplishing this dream. Since she's off to a better place, I hope
you find enjoyment in reading my poetry. I'd like to send a shout
out to Dr. Seuss who inspired me to rhyme. Respect due to Edgar
Allen Poe for "The Raven." Gil Scott Heron, Langston Hughes, Nikki
Giovanni, The Last Poets and all black poets, philosophers and
scribes of our times. Much love to hip hop artists and lyricists:
Jay-Z, Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, Rakim, Mos Def, Nas, Common and
every writer that I have read who has inspired me to write. Much
respect and honor due to my Mom; without her there is no me. It's
my goal to inspire as I have been inspired. I wrote this book so
that someone reading it would know that fulfilling your dreams is
possible.
