Fuse's latest entry into its mix-CD series features DJ/Intacto label head Shinedoe on a solid if not remarkable disc's worth of a mix, twenty songs both old and new (and starting with a reflective segment from DJ Bone's "Music" wondering "what happened to the soul" -- but such is always the case with those questions, someone new will be along to provide it in a new form). Given Shinedoe's long-time participation as dancer then DJ, it's unsurprising that she is attuned to older classics like Underground Resistance's "Final Frontier," but smoothly segueing it into Gui Boratto's "The Blessing" to close the disc shows how she ably keeps her ears open. ~ Ned Raggett
