Die friiher im Archiv des preuBischen, spater des Reichsjustiz ministeriums ruhenden Bestande der Materialien zum Allgemeinen Land recht rur die PreuBischen Staaten von 1794, bei denen sich auch die Kron prinzenvortrage befanden, schienen nach dem 2. Weltkriege zunachst ver loren, hatten jedoch Aufnahme im Zentralarchiv Abteilung Merseburg ge funden. Es gelang mit Hil e von Herrn Ministerialdirektor Dr. Petersen im Bundesjustizministerium, sie dort zu ermitteln. Nach Iangeren Verhand lungen stellte mir die Leitung des Merseburger Archivs einen Mikrofilm der Original assung der Kronprinzenvortrage zur Verfiigung, der im Institut fiir Deutsche und Rheinische Rechtsgeschichte der Universitat Bonn im Sommer 1957 mit technischen Hilfsmitteln iibertragen wurde. Die finanzielle Betreuung der Arbeiten iibernahm in groBziigiger Weise die Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Forschung des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, in deren Reihe Wissenschaftliche Abhandlungen auch die vorliegende Aus gabe erscheint. Das gesamte Material der Kronprinzenvortrage umfaBt drei Teile (Ab teilungen). Den 1. Teil bildet ein GrundriB der Vortrage, gewissermaBen eine Skizze des vorzutragenden Stoffes, wahrend der 2. Teil das eigentliche V ortragsmanuskript enthalt, das allerdings zuweilen nur stichwortartig den Gedankengang des Verfassers angibt. Der 3.
