This book provides a systematic development of the Rubio de Francia
theory of extrapolation, its many generalizations and its
applications to one and two-weight norm inequalities. The book is
based upon a new and elementary proof of the classical
extrapolation theorem that fully develops the power of the Rubio de
Francia iteration algorithm. This technique allows us to give a
unified presentation of the theory and to give important
generalizations to Banach function spaces and to two-weight
inequalities. We provide many applications to the classical
operators of harmonic analysis to illustrate our approach, giving
new and simpler proofs of known results and proving new theorems.
The book is intended for advanced graduate students and researchers
in the area of weighted norm inequalities, as well as for
mathematicians who want to apply extrapolation to other areas such
as partial differential equations.
This collection of articles and surveys is devoted to Harmonic
Analysis, related Partial Differential Equations and Applications
and in particular to the fields of research to which Richard L.
Wheeden made profound contributions. The papers deal with Weighted
Norm inequalities for classical operators like Singular integrals,
fractional integrals and maximal functions that arise in Harmonic
Analysis. Other papers deal with applications of Harmonic Analysis
to Degenerate Elliptic equations, variational problems, Several
Complex variables, Potential theory, free boundaries and boundary
behavior of functions.

modernas.

'Presente ' transcends the characterisation of immigrants as either
criminals or victims by drawing on the first-hand experiences of
immigrants and immigrant-led organisations engaged in recent
organising struggles. Focusing on Latino and Latina immigrants in
the US, and covering the intersections of race, class and
immigration, this anthology addresses the misguided notion that
undocumented immigrants simply need to legalise their status to
eliminate their marginalisation.
This book introduces the reader to how fundamental topics in
particle physics can be studied with the largest neutrino
telescopes currently in operation. Due to their large size,
reaching cubic-kilometer volumes, and their wide energy response,
these unusual detectors can provide insight on neutrino
oscillations, dark matter searches or searches for exotic
particles, new neutrino interactions or extra dimensions, among
many other topics.Lacking a man-made neutrino 'beam', neutrino
telescopes use the copious flux of neutrinos continuously produced
by cosmic rays interacting in the Earth's atmosphere, as well as
neutrinos from astrophysical origin. They have therefore access to
neutrinos of higher energies and much longer baselines than those
produced in present accelerators, being able to search for new
physics at complementary scales than currently available in
particle physics laboratories around the world.Written by carefully
chosen experts in the field, the book introduces each topic in a
pedagogical way apt not only to professionals, but also to students
or the interested reader with a background in physics.
Spacecraft Dynamics and Control: The Embedded Model Control
Approach provides a uniform and systematic way of approaching space
engineering control problems from the standpoint of model-based
control, using state-space equations as the key paradigm for
simulation, design and implementation. The book introduces the
Embedded Model Control methodology for the design and
implementation of attitude and orbit control systems. The logic
architecture is organized around the embedded model of the
spacecraft and its surrounding environment. The model is compelled
to include disturbance dynamics as a repository of the uncertainty
that the control law must reject to meet attitude and orbit
requirements within the uncertainty class. The source of the
real-time uncertainty estimation/prediction is the model error
signal, as it encodes the residual discrepancies between spacecraft
measurements and model output. The embedded model and the
uncertainty estimation feedback (noise estimator in the book)
constitute the state predictor feeding the control law. Asymptotic
pole placement (exploiting the asymptotes of closed-loop transfer
functions) is the way to design and tune feedback loops around the
embedded model (state predictor, control law, reference generator).
The design versus the uncertainty class is driven by analytic
stability and performance inequalities. The method is applied to
several attitude and orbit control problems.

Transit from monolithic architectures to highly available,
scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices About This Book * Build
your own applications based on event-driven microservices and set
them up on a production server. * Successfully transform any
monolithic application into a microservice. * Monitor the health of
your application, prevent downtime, and reduce costs. Who This Book
Is For PHP developers who want to build scalable, highly available,
and secure applications will find this book useful. No knowledge of
microservices is assumed. What You Will Learn * Set up a
development environment using the right strategies and tools. *
Learn about application design and structure to start implementing
your application. * Transform a monolithic application into
microservices. * Explore the best way to start implementing your
application using testing. * Understand how to monitor your
microservices, handle errors, and debug the application. * Deploy
your finished application into a production environment and learn
how to solve common problems. * Know how to scale your application
based on microservices once it is up-and-running. In Detail The
world is moving away from bulky, unreliable, and high-maintenance
PHP applications, to small, easy-to-maintain and highly available
microservices and the pressing need is for PHP developers to
understand the criticalities in building effective microservices
that scale at large. This book will be a reliable resource, and one
that will help you to develop your skills and teach you techniques
for building reliable microservices in PHP. The book begins with an
introduction to the world of microservices, and quickly shows you
how to set up a development environment and build a basic platform
using Docker and Vagrant. You will then get into the different
design aspects to be considered while building microservices in
your favorite framework and you will explore topics such as
testing, securing, and deploying microservices. You will also
understand how to migrate a monolithic application to the
microservice architecture while keeping scalability and best
practices in mind. Furthermore you will get into a few important
DevOps techniques that will help you progress on to more complex
domains such as native cloud development, as well as some
interesting design patterns. By the end of this book you will be
able to develop applications based on microservices in an organized
and efficient way. You will also gain the knowledge to transform
any monolithic applications into microservices. Style and approach
Filled with code that you can start typing straightaway, this book
will take you through building, testing, securing, and deploying
microservices in the most practical way possible. The focus of the
book is more inclined towards showing you how it's done, rather
than with what to do, although you will get a good idea of those
tools most widely used to build microservices.
This is a play for young audiences that once purchased is royalty
free. The play toured quite successfully with Kansas City Young
Audiences for five years. The play's focus is on popular folktales
from Latin America; it includes learning new words in Spanish, and
the positive aspects of being kind to one another. The play has a
running time of approximately 50 minutes, and can accommodate a
cast of anywhere from three to thirty.
This is a collection of short stories that range from a murdered
