This is the second book and sequel in the American Bushido series. This novel is what the title suggests it is: a Revenge story. Commando, Gabriel Dunne hunts the men that left his childhood friend on death's doorstep. Revenge must wait as Gabriel and his team are whisked around the globe and asked to do the impossible. Gabriel must battle his emotions while fighting terrorists on foreign soil. Vengance transforms Gabriel into The Angel of Death as he hunts evil men inside his own borders. His search leads him to the top of an empire and a final showdown.
This is the story of Gabriel Dunne, a lower class white kid growing up in South Florida. At the age of ten, he is thrust, along with his best friend, Thomas, into a hair-raising adventure. Stalked by a savage foreign killer, they only have each other and one way out to escape. Gabriel's life-and-death experience as a boy serves as an initiation, unwittingly sending him into manhood. As an adult, Gabriel becomes an elite member of a commando unit rescuing hostages behind enemy lines. Suspense, adventure, humor and a touch of horror are mixed together in this tale that spans over fifteen years.
This book is a collaboration of some of the state of California's most insidious inmates. These men were saturated in a sea of negativity, for an extensive amount of time. However, through trial an error they changed their lifestyle. Their testimonials give you a better understanding of why some people turn to drugs, gangs, and crime; these testimonies are real and raw to give you a vivid insight into their reality. Redemption is a process that is possible for anyone willing to take the first step.

The Psalms of David, as written in the Holy Bible, have been fascinating to Yaqob Tafari Makuannen since he was a young boy. In this book, The Holy Psalms of David with Commentary by Yaqob Tafari Makuannen, Yaqob has the honor of presenting the Psalms to the world with his interpretation. Historically, the Psalms were a collection of songs sung to King Saul of Israel, who was overwhelmed by evil spirits. When no one could help the King, neither physicians nor others, David, the shepherd boy, was brought to the King's side where he played the harp and sang for him. The evil spirits left King Saul, and the King was well again. Most of the Psalms were written by David and were a direct communication to God. Some were words of praise, adoration, and worship. Some were pleas to God for help in troubled times. The continuing thread, however, is the fact that God is the Creator, who will never leave nor forsake those who are righteous in their thinking -- like David. Although the Psalms of David were written in ancient times, the content reflects life today. Yaqob Tafari Makuannen makes that connection through his commentary. Some of his comments are explanatory; some are reflective; some are just plain common sense. Enjoy them. Like David, Yaqob is a singer of songs, and a composer -- a musician. Yaqob plays the harp, auto-zither, guitar, and piano. He believes that music, especially with string instruments, can soothe, heal, and relax one's spirit. His music is inspirational. In conjunction with this book, Yaqob, a.k.a., Ya Tafari, has compiled a CD with his original music and vocals, to accompany these Psalms: 1, 3, 4, 14, 22, 23, 41, 68, 103, 116, 119, 141, and 150. It is entitled The Psalms of David by Ya Tafari. For a copy, please call 313-348-6279. Thank you. Be blessed.
This book is about the experience of an Eritrean in the era of the nation's struggle for freedom and independence. It reflects the objective reality of the Eritrean experience from the periphery and/or from within the struggle. Through this book, I have the opportunity to transmit that I became what I became by accident and I had to live what my being brought to my existence one way or another for this life. But I designed my psychic integrity by incidence: Nature is responsible for my actuality but I am responsible for my concept of existence. My state of mind states that I should not exasperate a mess at the expense of my stress, I should Kill my arrogance with modesty and harass my ego with humility. I should surrender to the inner-self to defend humanity and look through the lenses of compassion to impact society. My existence is only worth when I use it with my impermanence on the background. It ain't worth to be a prisoner of greed, race, ethnicity or power for opportunism can easily be directed towards spirituality rather than to individuality. I want to universalize my outlook and stand for justice anywhere applicable.
