Meteorites are natural objects that have fallen from space to the
Earth's surface. Once considered bad omens, they are now recognised
as a unique window onto the processes that forged the formation of
the solar system 4,570 million years ago. They reveal how impacts
have shaped and modified planets, asteroids and moons; and they
even contain evidence of astrophysical phenomena that occurred long
before our solar system was born. In Meteorites, leading experts
from the Natural History Museum, London provide a compelling and
cutting edge introduction to the evolving science of meteoritics.
They reveal what meteorites are, where they are most likely to be
found, and the type of celestial bodies that they hail from. The
book contains all the latest information on key meteorite falls and
considers some of the big questions that still remain - such as
whether our solar system is unusual in creating a planet that
supports life, and if it is likely we will find complex life
elsewhere. With a mix of photographs, diagrams and maps, Meteorites
is essential reading for all those with an interest in the nature
of our solar system.
Best-selling historical romance writer Carla Woods lives in a
Gothic mansion and enjoys playing dangerous mind games with her
secretaries. One dark and stormy night, a mysterious, dark, and
handsome man shows up at her door. Could this simply be payback
from a disgruntled employee, or could it be...love's destiny? A
twisting, turning comedy-thriller, similar in style to Deathtrap
and Sleuth, but with two very intelligent and charismatic female
combatants - and one devastatingly handsome man.

Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle are two "mature" cable-access
cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for 30 years, ever
since Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. When
circumstances put them together on a TV show called The Kitchen
Witches, the insults are flung harder than the food Dolly's
long-suffering TV-producer son Stephen tries to keep them on track,
but as long as Dolly's dressing room is one inch closer to the set
than Isobel's, it's a losing battle, and the show becomes a rating
smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry

Crusading in the Age of Joinville enhances the current literature
dealing with the issue of crusaders' motivations by providing a
detailed examination of the ideas and experiences of those who
promoted and participated in the crusades of Louis IX of France in
the mid-thirteenth century. It assesses the possibilities and
problems associated with the source material available to
historians of crusading in the thirteenth century and highlights
the unique nature and value of John of Joinville's Life of Saint
Louis. Two distinct approaches are taken to the analysis of these
sources in order to demonstrate their richness. The first of these
is thematic and is employed to reveal contrasts between the
idealised images of crusading depicted by its promoters and the
experiences of those who responded to their calls to take the
cross. Secondly, the careers of Joinville and his close
contemporary Oliver of Termes provide extended case studies
demonstrating that involvement with crusading could have very
different origins and expressions. Overall, Crusading in the Age of
Joinville provides an innovative and accessible study of crusaders
and crusading in the thirteenth century.

This book focuses on the complex relationship between education and
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlights how
important context is for both critiquing and achieving the Goals
though education, given the critical role teachers, schools and
curriculum play in young people’s lives. Readers will find
examples of thinking and practice across the spectrum of education
and training sectors, both formal and informal. The book adds to
the increasing body of literature that recognises that education
is, and must be, in its praxis, at the heart of all the (SDGs). As
we enter the third decade of the 21st century, we have a clear
understanding of the wicked and complex crises regarding the health
of life on our planet, and we cannot ignore the high levels of
anxiety our young people are experiencing about their future.
Continuing in the direction of unsustainable exploitation of people
and nature is no longer an option if life is to have a flourishing
future. The book illustrates how SDGs are supported in and by
education and training, showcasing the conditions necessary to
ensure SDGs are fore fronted in policy reform. It includes
real-world examples of SDGs in education and training contexts, as
well as novel critiques of the SDGs in regard to their privileging
of anthropocentrism and neoliberalism. This book is beneficial to

interest to policy developers from across disciplines and
government agencies who are interested in how the SDGs relate to
