The Magician's Daughter is a wondrous story about the power of community and giving everyone a chance to shine, by the award-winning Caryl Lewis. After one disastrous magic show too many, Abby's dad decides to give up showbiz and get a proper job at the local care home. Abby's mum had been the true magician, but after they lost her, the act went downhill. But it's hard to let go of magic, and so, when Abby finds her mum's dusty old magic book, they decide to put on one final show for the residents of the care home. And slowly, as Abby discovers three special spells in the magical book, everything begins to change: First, an old lady feels young again when a spell allows her to dance for the first time in years. Second, two children discover that anything is possible when they fly. Finally, after a recording of their second magical spell goes viral, Abby, her dad and their friends plan one last grand illusion in London. The whole village comes together and discovers the meaning of true magic.
Marty doesn't have much—unlike his mom, who seems to hold on to everything. Life at home is tough, but Marty finds sanctuary down at the community garden with his eccentric grandad. On Marty's birthday, Grandad gifts him a seed. "There’s magic in seeds, you know. You can never tell what wonders are in them." As it turns out, Grandad has a rather wonderful plan up his sleeve. It involves wishes, a pumpkin, and a trip all the way from England to Paris. Funny, inspiring, and larger-than-life, Seed is a story about believing in dreams—your own, and those of the people you love.

Bound together by blood ties, Martha, Jack and Shanco live on a farm in west Wales where their lives unfold in their eerie half- presence of their dead parents. Glimmers of understanding punctuate their relationship with one another, but unspoken animosity seems to be the most potent ingredient. A lament for the prizes and the price of nurturing a landscape: an antidote for anyone impatient with those who choose to stay in one place.
