The word 'Arian' should not be confused with the word 'Aryan',
which is derived from Hindu philosophy and was inaccurately used by
the German, NAZI party as the basis for its racist and anti-Semitic
philosophy. The word 'Arian' was derived from the name of Saint
Arius of Alexandria (in Egypt). Although the word was derived from
the name of St Arius, the word 'Arian" was coined by the Catholic
Church as a pejorative name designed to define the heresy of those
Christians who did not accept the Roman Catholic concept of the
Holy Trinity and the divinity of Jesus. The term was used against
those who would think for themselves. This book is an attempt to
right the record and bring back to Christianity the broad range of
views that prevailed before the Romans co-opted the Christian
Religion and turned it into a political arm of the Roman Empire.
How does a person know if he or she is an Arian Christian or not?
If you have ever asked the question, "What would Jesus do?" you are
probably an Arian Christian. Why would a person ask what Jesus
would do as a personal guide, if they believed that Jesus was God?
Who would ask what God would do as a resolution to a personal
problem when ordinary people do not have the powers of gods? Are
you an Atheist or a person with secular views who accepts the
Golden Rule of 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'
as a moral guide? Do you accept Jesus' moral, philosophical,
guidelines without all the 'hocus pocus'? Do you consider yourself
'not' a Christian because others say that you are not? It shouldn't
matter, because it did not matter to Jesus.
