Being The Story Of How Boy And Man Worked Hard And Played Hard To
Blaze The White Trail, By Wagon Train, Stage Coach And Pony
Express, Across The Great Plains And The Mountains Beyond, That The
American Republic Might Expand And Flourish.
1912. Being the adventures, in the years 1842-43-44, on trail over
mountains and through deserts from the East of the Rockies to the
West of the Sierras, of Scout Christopher Carson and Lieutenant
John Charles Fremont, leading their brave company including the boy
Oliver. Sabin proudly points out that he rooted the narrative in
the journals of exploring expeditions commanded by Fremont and
advised by Kit Carson as transmitted by the Secretary of War to the
Senate and House and published as government documents. Sabin
emphasized that Oliver Wiggins, one of his characters, is real.
Sabin said he had talked with Wiggins and he was the little boy
under the wagon, and he was the Taos lad who won the Kit Carson
rifle; he was upon the Fremont and Carson First Expedition, and he
was upon the Second Expedition by way of the Salt Lake to Fort
Hall. See other titles by this author available from Kessinger
Publishing.

the Bar B Series for Boys, which was highly regarded for its
accuracy and strong moral lessons of good and evil. Into Mexico

Blazers Series.

1902. Dwight Tilton is the pen name for two men, Wilder Dwight
Quint and George Tilton Richardson. Miss Petticoats is the
daughter, Agatha of a French nobleman and an American woman. Since
the death of her mother, she has been living with her grandfather,
Captain Joel Stewart. Knowing nothing of her royal heritage, Agatha
takes a job as secretary to the wealthy Sarah Copeland, whose
nephew, Guy Hamilton, immediately begins pursuing the new employee.
Jealous of Agatha, one of Guy's former sweethearts, Mrs. Worth
Courtleigh, starts spreading rumors about her, and when Joel hears
a particularly scandalous one, he dies of shock. Taking Agatha away
from all the gossip, Sarah sails with her to Europe, where Agatha
finally learns about her bloodline, and also discovers that she is
the heiress to a fortune. Then, when she and Sarah return home,
Agatha forgives all the people who believed the rumors, and marries
the Reverend Ralph Harding, who was always certain of her
innocence.
