adventure. They have sold their house and are packing up all their
belongings ready to move into their new house. It will be a busy
day but they have plenty of people to help them, the removal men
are there and even Teddy is helping too! Different noises fill the
house as the packing begins, what a great job everyone is doing but
don't forget to take a break for lunch and have a rest. With
everything packed up they can set off for the new house where they
will have a new garden to play in, a new house to live in and new
memories can be made. Are you moving house too?
Mummy, Suzie and Daddy are catching the bus as they are going to
the dentist. Suzie is having a check up with Mr Chu, he will look
inside her mouth and count her teeth; do you know how many teeth
you have? Suzie is a little bit worried but it will be OK, it is
good to get your teeth checked regularly. When Suzie is finished,
the dental nurse gives her a lovely sticker to say that she has had
her appointment and that her teeth are clean and healthy. Well done
Suzie for visiting the dentist and keeping your teeth bright and
shiny!
Having Autism can sometimes make school life challenging. Loud
noises can hurt a child's ears as the volume can be turned up much
louder in their ears. If a child gets upset, lining toys up or
building towers can help calm them down. Looking at pictures
instead of words can help with understanding the timetable better.
Some foods can hurt their tummy so special foods are packed in
their lunch box. If they do not speak to you it is not because they
don't want to be your friend, they may struggle with words or
prefer playing alone. Their skin can be extra sensitive so sand
sticking to their hands or labels in their clothes can make them
feel extra uncomfortable and itchy. It is important for us to be
kind to each other every day and understand that we are all
different and sometimes need an extra helping hand from our
friends. Thank you for being a good friend and for being Autism
Aware and showing that you care.
