Reviews: "Being a great believer in the importance of reaching for dreams and harnessing passions to build a good life, I was delighted to read Betty Dravis's and Chase Von's book of enlightening and uplifting interviews. Particularly in light of the state of the world, I thought it was brilliant of these two celebrated writers to share these interviews in a book about people who have reached out and up in their lives to achieve the impossible. Bravo, Betty and Chase " - Susaye Greene, legendary singer with The Supremes "Since the authors are of different generations, Dream Reachers II is a complex, fascinating mix of inspiring high achievers, similar in tone to the first book. If you expect hard-edged journalism and tough questions posed by the interviewers/authors, this would not be the book for you. But the gentler approach provides some revealing views of those being interviewed. Just as the artists interviewed in this book are an exotic blend, so are Betty Dravis and Chase Von. The wedding of these interviews and reflections works nicely." - Steven Peterson, Director, School of Public Affairs at Penn State, Harrisburg, PA
Ed, you've captured the essence of the many footprints we leave along this journey of life, some that seem to take us down paths that find us standing alone with burdens and loved ones we lost and grief, loneliness, pain we've encountered along the way, and yet when moments of recollection come especially occasions such as this as you themed your poem with, the lost love recultivated and to cherish for life... that embraces us for all that has made us who we are, it makes each footstep seem as if it was taking us into a place of destiny that makes every moment worth it all. Beautifully scripted, Ed so realistic when it was worded by a pro like you... and your closing verses lend wings of inspiration that lift the heart and soul into higher realms. Wonderful poetry takes on another realm when the closing is beautiful and touches the heart in a soft linger, exactly what this does...
"pee-a boo into a tinheart" is a collection of poetry written by carol rose, a biopolar woman who has survived her affliction and attributes writing as one of the main reasons she has been able to do so. As well as the excellent care of her doctors and the loving and unfailing support of her husband. carol, who is very sensitive to the color blue, as it disturbs her, and who really has to want to make a point, in order for her to use capital letters, is a very brave soul who is at the same time, very reclusive, prone to extreme emotional swings, and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet in your life. extremely talented as a poet and artist and photographer, she however, writes how she is most comfortable. meaning she spells words the way they sound to her and she articulates her thoughts without care as to how gramatically correct they are. to correct them would be to her, something very hurtful that truly upsets her, and as her publisher and editor, i've had to dip into my reserves of patience time and time again as she is a very fragile spirit, tender and loving and caring and all things sweet. working with her has made me a better man, a better person, and a better human being. in a world filled seemingly more every day, with hate and violence and the unspeakable, we could all learn valuable lessons from someone who truly does wear her heart on her sleeve. i would not hesitate to work with carol again, and have already insured in some way shape or form i will be working with her and i am forever grateful for her allowing me to take a peek, into her tinheart, which isn't really tin at all, but would best be described, as a heart of pure gold. respectfully, chase von editor andpublisher of this brave and immensely touching creation by author, artist and photographer and bipolar woman.

Each of us is like a box of chocolates. I see many individual's boxes are slightly ajar, presenting only pieces they deem most worthy. Webster's Dictionary defines vanity as "excessive appreciation of one's own worth or virtue." While vanity allows us to expose only our most desirable characteristics to others, I believe those with nearly closed boxes usually are the least appreciative of their true worth. True vanity comes when we can expose proudly ALL pieces, even those hidden in dark corners. Look inside, beyond the cover of false vanity, as I present my truths in raw, emotionally driven words, finding complete self-acceptance of all my pieces as I finally gain true vanity an excessive appreciation of my own worth. Herein are ALL my pieces in an open box exposed truths within emotionally driven words created by my heart, soul and mind. With the acceptance and ability to tell of all my pieces pain, loss, love, fate, hope and to proudly express my sexual thoughts, without the worry of society's backlash a final excessive appreciation of my own worth and virtue. I am now truly vain. My box is open. Sample me, as you desire.
