Provides a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the concept of
geoeconomics in International Relations (IR). An accessible
overview of the most important approaches, including their history,
means and ends, methodology, ideological underpinnings, normative
aspects, and practical relevance.
The existence of formulaic patterns has been attested to all
languages of the world. However, systematic research in this field
has been focused on only a few European standard languages with a
rich literary tradition and a high degree of written norm. It was
on the basis of these data that the theoretical framework and
methodological approaches were developed. The volume shifts this
focus by centering the investigation on new data, including data
from lesser-used languages and dialects, extra-european languages,
linguistic varieties mostly used in spoken domains as well as at
previous historical stages of language development. Their inclusion
challenges the existing postulates at both a theoretical and
methodological level. Areas of interest include the following
questions: What is formulaic in these types of languages, varieties
and dialects? Are the criteria developed within the framework of
phraseological research applicable to new data? Can any specific
types of formulaic patterns and/or any specific features of regular
(already known) types of formulaic patterns be observed and how do
they emerge? What methodological difficulties need to be overcome
when dealing with new data?
Now in its revised fifth edition, this book is designed for the
collector, with an historical survey, a description of how
mechanical wristwatches work, and a glossary. Updated price ranges
for various wristwatches are included, along with a chapter on
fakes, knock-offs, and hybrids. Even a chapter on the popular
Swatch watches is included. Information on the preservation, care,
and repair of watches rounds out the volume, making it an excellent
reference for novice and experienced collectors alike.
Christian Pfeiffer explores an important, but neglected topic in
Aristotle's theoretical philosophy: the theory of bodies. A body is
a three-dimensionally extended and continuous magnitude bounded by
surfaces. This notion is distinct from the notion of a perceptible
or physical substance. Substances have bodies, that is to say, they
are extended, their parts are continuous with each other and they
have boundaries, which demarcate them from their surroundings.
Pfeiffer argues that body, thus understood, has a pivotal role in
Aristotle's natural philosophy. A theory of body is a presupposed
in, e.g., Aristotle's account of the infinite, place, or action and
passion, because their being bodies explains why things have a
location or how they can act upon each other. The notion of body
can be ranked among the central concepts for natural science which
are discussed in Physics III-IV. The book is the first
comprehensive and rigorous account of the features substances have
in virtue of being bodies. It provides an analysis of the concept
of three-dimensional magnitude and related notions like boundary,
extension, contact, continuity, often comparing it to modern
conceptions of it. Both the structural features and the ontological
status of body is discussed. This makes it significant for scholars
working on contemporary metaphysics and mereology because the
concept of a material object is intimately tied to its spatial or
topological properties.
Populisten wie Donald Trump, Viktor Orban oder Jair Bolsonaro
verandern die Weltpolitik und stellen etablierte institutionelle
Verfahrensweisen in Frage.
USA, Venezuela, Argentinien, Brasilien, OEsterreich, Spanien,

and. Lander - Mittelalter, Fruhe Neuzeit, Note: 2,0, Universitat
