English summary: This volume documents the seventh theological conference as part of the Meissen Process involving the Church of England and the Evangelical Church in Germany. In this conference which was held in Salisbury/England in 2011, the theological work, to which both churches have pledged their efforts, focused on the missionary dimension of ecclesiology with the goal of finding common approaches for Christian witness in Europe's process of transformation. The twelve essays representing academia and church leadership consider the meaning of mission in Anglican and Protestant ecclesiology and introduce current debates and new models for missionary work in both churches. From a historical perspective, the essays recall main themes within the history of mission from early Christianity to late antiquity. They also present basic reflections concerning the theology of mission in the context of the ecumenical movement. German, English description: Dieser Band dokumentiert die siebte Theologische Konferenz im Rahmen des Meissen Prozesses der Kirche von England und der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland, die 2011 in Salisbury/England stattfand. The late 20th century was a formative phase in the history of digital media culture. The introduction of "new media" was associated with promises for the future that still resonate today. This book brings together contributions that discuss key aspects of the "imaginaries" surrounding new media in this epoch. The focus is on the works of the media artist group Van Gogh-TV, especially the historically very important interactive television project "Piazza virtuale" (1992).

Der Band bietet die erste Einfuhrung in Konzepte der Imagination zukunftiger Medientechnologien. Ausgehend von der sozialen Transformation durch neue Medien wird die interdisziplinare Debatte um die Vorstellbarmachung zukunftiger Medien vorgestellt. Im Durchgang durch etablierte Theorien aus Philosophie, Medientheorie, Sozialtheorie sowie Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung wird aufgezeigt, welchen breiten Einfluss Prozesse der Imagination, etwa in Gestalt von Narrativen wie in der Science Fiction, fur die Diskursivierung und Konzeptualisierung von (digitalen) Medientechnologien haben.

In den Sozial-, Medien- und Kulturwissenschaften hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten ein konstruktivistischer Grundkonsens entfaltet. Sozialer Sinn, Wissen, Kommunikation, alle Phanomene, mit denen Geltungsanspruche verbunden werden, werden als soziale oder psychische, Konstruktionen' auf Abstand gehalten. In Abgrenzung haben sich Arbeitsfelder und Zugangsweisen etabliert, die nicht hinter den Reflexionsstand konstruktivistischer Positionen zuruckfallen wollen, sondern alternative Absetzungen von den naiv realistischen Vorlagen, die konstruktivistische Einwande provozierten, im Sinne haben. Die AutorInnen setzen sich mit konstruktivistischen Selbstverstandlichkeiten im Geiste der Kritik theoretischer Grundlagenreflexion auseinander. Sie untersuchen kumulierte Inkonsistenzen des Konstruktivismus und skizzieren anhand epistemologischer und gegenstandsbezogener Probleme einen postkonstruktivistischen Zugang zu den problematischen Materien dieser Wissenschaften."

Der Umgang mit dem Wald im 18. Jahrhundert wird oft vereinfacht dargestellt: Es herrscht das Bild von Landesherren vor, die mit klugen Forstgesetzen den Wald vor Ubernutzung schutzen wollten, aber einer uneinsichtigen Landbevolkerung gegenuberstanden, die mit ihrem Vieh und Brennholzbedarf die Baumbestande ruinierte. Ernst hinterfragt diese gangige Auffassung mit einer Fallstudie uber Holzproduktion, Landwirtschaft und Jagd in den Mittelgebirgen Hunsruck und Eifel und lenkt unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf die existentielle Herausforderung der damaligen Zeit, die Waldentwicklung gesellschafts- und naturvertraglich zu gestalten. Erstmalig erkennen wir dadurch das vielschichtige, multipolare Politik- und Konfliktfeld Waldentwicklung: Forstgesetze waren oft genug schlicht Ergebnis innerobrigkeitlicher Handel. Nachhaltigkeit und Holznot interessierten die Obrigkeit vornehmlich, um im Schatten dieser Begriffe die Waldbestande planmassig "versilbern" zu konnen. Doch vor Gericht opponierte die Landbevolkerung kenntnis- und auch erfolgreich gegen dieses Doppelspiel.
