Beautifully depicted in collage-illustrations with a visual edge,
this traditional African fable emphasizes the importance of
sharing. Baby Baobab may be the tallest, greenest tree, but he is
also boastful. Sun warns him not to be so vain, but Baby Baobab
ignores him and is rude to the insects and animals that wish to
settle on his branches. Sun is angered by the little tree's
unwillingness to share and decides to teach him a lesson by turning
him upside down and burying his beautiful branches underground.
Summertime in Philly captures the author's vivid memories of
growing up in southwest Philadelphia. She talks about playing in
the fire hydrant, eating ice cream from the Mr. Tastee truck and
dancing at block parties Cindy Robinson-Brown was born and raised
in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Temple University and
briefly attended Widener School of Law. She and her husband later
moved to Delaware. Her 20 year career as an advocate for children
began while working for Delaware's Children, Youth and Families

neglected children, a juvenile probation officer and a regulator of
children's programs. Since retiring in 2011, she has been enjoying
her time as a wife, mother, grandmother, writer, consultant and
mentor in the Delaware public school system.
Wade and Cindy met in college, and married some twenty year later.
The journey between included children, spouses, divorce and the
death of one spouse in a tragic fire. It is a story of joy, sorrow,
growth and love. But mostly it's a story of God's unwavering
