Microoganisms are distributed across every ecosystem, and microbial
transformations are fundamental to the operation of the biosphere.
Microbial ecology is the study of this interaction between
microorganisms and their environment, and arguably represents one
of the most important areas of biological research. Yet for many
years our study of microbial flora was severely limited: the
primary method of culturing microorganisms on media allowed us to
study only between 0.1 and 10% of the total microbial flora in any
given environment. Molecular Microbial Ecology gives a
comprehensive guide to the recent revolution in the study of
microorganisms in the environment. Details are given on molecular
methods for isolating some of the previously uncultured and
numerically dominant microbial groups. PCR-based approaches to
studying prokaryotic systematics are described, including ribosomal
RNA analysis and stable isotope probing. Later chapters cover DNA
hybridisation techniques (including fluorescent in situ
hybridisation), as well as genomic and metagenomic approaches to
microbial ecology. Gathering together some of the world's leading
experts, this book provides an invaluable introduction to the
modern theory and molecular methods used in studying microbial
ecology.
Cindy lives in North Florida with her three teenage daughters. She
is learning how to live again after loosing her husband of 16 years
and finally enjoying the journey. This year she will complete her
Bachelors degree in communication and she excitedly waits to see
what is next on her life's journey. This book is meant as a
memorial to the deep love and passion she shared with her husband.
Cindy and Gary didn't have a perfect life together but they shared
a deep and passionate love for each other. With Gary's last bit of
strength he encouraged Cindy to step out and write this book and
tell her story and that is what she is doing. People see someone
loose a spouse in a movie and they see this nice neat and
chronological progression of grief and Cindy hopes to encourage
others that grief is messy and does not happen in 12 easy steps but
with God by their side they can learn to live again. You can read

Jessica Chandler and Blake Randall have a lot of unfinished
business. Jessica had once idolized Blake and when the opportunity
came, she had given herself to him shamelessly. She tossed his
duty-bound proposal in his face. After all, she had her pride. An
automobile accident took the lives of her parents and caused her
many months of physical therapy and grief counseling. Although she
was in a wheelchair, her torn body was healing. After several long
years, Blake was ending his self-imposed exile. He realized that
time away did not diminish his intense desire for Jessica. It did,
however, ease the pain of her rejection. Being away from his family
had cost him more than he cared to admit and he longed for their
close contact. Little did Blake and Jessica know that an unexpected
encounter would change the course of their lives.

"Safe Haven" Sarah Davis Fisher and James O'Malley come from two
very different cultures: Amish and American Indian.
Sarah lived in a very secluded community; she was well cared
for, but she lived without electricity and other modern
conveniences. A rape and unexpected pregnancy forced Sarah to make
the most important decision of her life.
Reservation life was not pleasant for James. His white father
ran off and his American Indian mother couldn't deal with the loss
of her husband. Promises of a better life made by his white
grandfather were never kept. James longed for a better life. He
longed for a family.
When Sarah and James meet, little do they know their
differences, as well as what they share, will bind them together
forever.
