This method is based first of all on the teachings of Tradition and after on the contributions that comparative studies have offered to our discipline, for example the statistical study of Carl Gustav Jung and of the Nobel Prize for Physics Wolfgang Pauli about the excellence of the conjunction Sun-Moon in a couple. Personally, for many years I studied also the mid-points between the skies of two subjects, but I did not get valid results. As in all books of mine you will find some or many practical examples and most of all the way to test what I suggest on your personal examples: try this method on yourselves, on your past experiences, on the couples that you know very well and that you have known for a long time. If this system convinces you, use it. Otherwise throw the book away. If I may praise shortly this book, I'd like to add that probably it is the first example, or one of the first examples, of collaboration between an astrologer that practises the Judicial Astrology (or Predictive Astrology or Astrologia Gallica of Morin de Villefranche and of Andre Barbault) and the Astrology of an expert colleague, Danila Madau Perra, who teaches Yoga and is Buddhist, but who accepts, approves of and also practices Aimed Solar Returns. In short: a true example of an attempt to study Astrology in a holistic way.

We are living a huge economic and financial crisis, the worst that humanity has ever experienced. Some may say that the American crisis of 1929 was much harsher and more dramatic, but it was confined to the United States, while the present one includes the whole world, from the East to the West. As a member of the Fondazione Discepolo (a cultural institution founded by my father, Pasquale Discepolo, an engineer, born in New York on 6 November 1917, which has two executive and / or parallel "extensions" the Museo Mineralogico Campano Mineralogical Museum of the Campania Region] and the Premio Capo d'Orlando Capo d'Orlando Prize], founded by Dr. Umberto Celentano), on 23 May 2011, I had the great honour of participating in an extremely interesting conference held by the Nobel Prize for Economy Paul Krugman, who had been invited and awarded a prize by the Fondazione Discepolo at Vico Equense (a nice little city near Napoli and Sorrento). Paul Krugman's conference was of extraordinary interest, and touched upon the themes that were the premise for me writing this book in which I offer my almost 43 years of experience on the topic of money. In this book, I also wish to offer some advice to improve one's financial situation as concerns both the family and/or the individual.

My blog posts include suggestions for Aimed Solar and Lunar Returns for specific reader queries along reasons for suggesting them and analyses of consequent repurcussions on taking such a possible step. A record of this manner of interaction provides a practical insight to all readers about the ways and means of using Active Astrology to further their interests regarding love, money, real estate transactions, education, etc., and guard against sickness and possible troubles in other realms of life. The book deals only with practical cases that explain the technique of using astrology as a means to address your normal necessities and not with abstract theory. I have also answered technical questions from readers about rules involved in the exercise, making the contents of this book a tutorial as well. A large collection of Solar and Lunar Return charts are included as ready reference to easily understand the explantions in text.

It is undeniable that there is a wide gap today between the scientific - or, better, scientifist - culture and the so-called culture of analogy. "Scientifist" is a term coined by the Italian philosopher Raffaello Franchini to indicate the absolute deterioration of the scientific thought, luckily confined to a cultural minority, that uses science as if it were a weapon. Opposing this is the so-called culture of analogy, which is not closely linked to standards that can be assessed instrumentally, but which is based, on the contrary, on the ideal or analogical connection between two or more elements that are represented in almost all the so-called Human Sciences. Such dichotomy derives mainly from the media misinformation that, in recent years, has celebrated the notion whatever is "scientific" deserves salvation, while whatever is not, must be thrown away. Hence, as Franchini points out, the pretension of making people "burp and copulate in a scientific way," with all the distortions deriving from this misrepresentation. The Authors of this short volume, the result of a day-long "chat," intend to present their Readers with some questions marks on the topic of Epistemology - but not exclusively. They will in fact present them with many question marks and very few exclamation marks in order to stimulate a desirable and fruitful debate on this topic.

Transits and Solar Returns is a uniquely useful tool for interpreting transits to the birth chart and the annual solar return. Included are extensive sections that delineate the transits in the houses and in aspect to all of the other planets, both harmonious of dissonant, as well as delineation of all of the planets in all of the solar return houses. The book begins with the author's Thirty Rules for interpreting transits and solar returns. These rules, which go beyond many of those found in other books, are based on the author's extensive experience and research. These rules of interpreting function as a practical how-to for reading transits and solar returns using a step-by-step method that's easy to follow and implement. The aim of this short volume is to illustrate to my colleagues the technical and non technical reasons that have led me to declare that rules n. 1 and n. 2 of my 34 rules included in Transits and Solar Returns (but published in many articles and books since 1972) are the only astrological statements that have been accepted by Official Science in the whole history of human thought. However, this important goal in the history of Astrology has not been greeted with much enthusiasm by colleagues and fellow astrologers. On the contrary, it has been even opposed by some of them, simply out of envy. On the other hand scientifists, namely those who use Science in an essentialist way, have predictably ignored this event. Hence, with no celebration but no false modesty either, I wish to illustrate the path that has led me to this important goal to those who are little familiar with Statistics. I wish to emphasize once again that I consider Astrology Art rather than Science or, by any rate, a Human Science epistemologically closet o disciplines such as Sociology, Literary Criticism, Philosophy, Psychology, and so on. In this light, allow me a piece of criticism - a complaint, almost - to a "technological astrology" that is quite marketable these days. Although I have researched extensively working with Statistics applied to Astrology, I mainly consider myself an astrologer focusing on Man, in the broadest meaning of the word...

This book is a work with an important historical content. In fact, I don't need to understand for which locality we have to domificate at the precise instant of a Solar Return. I know that very well, on the basis of my enormous experience. And I know it because, taking stock of the situation until 2007 - when I stopped being a professional astrologer and only followed consultations with relatives and friends - in almost forty years of activity I had advised over 20,000 people to spend their Solar Returns in every part of the world. If my methods were wrong, I couldn't have aimed 20,000 Solar Returns correctly, but I would have suffered 20,000 ferocious attacks by as many people damaged by my wrong instructions. No, the problem, in these terms, doesn't exist, also considering that thousands of my students are also advising thousands of people using the same method, and that every astrologer is able to understand whether, twelve months after an aimed journey, Mars had fallen in the Third or in the Seventh or in the Twelfth House of a Solar Return. Why, actually, have Luciano Drusetta and I written this book? We have written it to explain the historical position of the greatest astrologers in the world, long ago, in the recent past and now, about this topic. In particular, Luciano Drusetta studies the possibility to domificate beyond the Earth and he is very good at it. He makes a mention of this in his chapters. You will read, in the appendix of this volume, a chapter by Margherita Fiorello, a scholar of Classic Astrology, about the thought of the most ancient astrologers in history regarding this matter. You could think that an astrologer of the year 1100 or 1400 A.D. did not have to deal with this problem since at that time, for example, a return journey from Rome to Lisbon could take several months; thus, being practically impossible to put the Aimed Solar Returns into practice, they ALL, without even conceiving such a thing, only drew a chart for the birth location. Instead, Margherita Fiorello, who supports the domification of the birth location, will inform you that some very important astrologers of the Middle Ages such as Tommaso Campanella used the domification for the location in which the subject was at the moment of the Solar Return. Different, as you will see, is the supposed thinking of the great Persian Abu Ma'shar, about whom you will read again in Margherita Fiorello's chapter as well as in my chapter on the ancient astrologers. You will read in this book my short correspondence with Benjamin N. Dykes, the most important contemporary scholar of the great Persian astrologer, concerning Abu Ma'shar's opinion on relocation. Successively you will read the position of Jean-Baptiste Morin, the one who ferried astrology from its ancient moorings to the modern era, enriching this operation with a personal genial contribution. Further on, you will read a chapter of mine about the thinking of all the most important astrologers of the world, our contemporaries or almost contemporaries, who unanimously agree on the domification aimed at the place of being on a birthday. Astrogeography probably represents, together with the Aimed Solar Returns and the Aimed Lunar Returns, the most objective and mathematically verifiable field of the entire Art of Urania. As with our other publications, in this short, yet exhaustive text also, we have adhered the following rule: an example is worth a thousand words. Here you'll find many examples; probably all of them can be defined remarkable ones. These examples show in practice how true and verifiable by anyone is Astrogeography, a discipline whose readability, a priori and a posteriori, leaves people almost bewildered by what might be called its 'scientific' features. Astrogeography - but this may as well refer to all of Astrology - expresses the basic concept upon which our studies rely: namely, that everything that is born takes on the characteristics of the place and the moment of its birth. Since the beginning of his studies in Astrology, in 1970, the Author understood that one of the most important problems in Astrology was to correct the birth time of the subject under examination. In fact, the parents of the child and the people who assist the mother during childbirth are often unprepared to fix the very instant of the birth. Therefore, Ciro Discepolo studied the methods of his masters to verify the best one for a good protocol of correction of birth time, but - unfortunately - he discovered that these methods did not work and he decided to discover his own method to practise this very important exercise. He studied for over thirty years and, then, he was able to assemble a protocol of correction of the birth time that, in his experience and in the experience of hundreds of his students, worked. This protocol is based on a particular system to read the entries of Mars in the Houses trying to get the precise moment of a "bee sting" as regards the arguments of all the specific Houses. The Author believes that it is necessary to follow this protocol for about three years and with a special technique of interrogation of the subjects. In this book you can read about this method and you will be supported by a very great number of practical examples.

This book is dedicated to all my English readers. It is not only the result of a separation of certain pages from my book Lunar Returns and Earth Returns, Ricerca '90 Publishing - an operation that has left in this volume only the pages related to the Lunar Returns.
