Es bietet eine detaillierte Einfuhrung in die wichtigsten Themen der Atom- und Molekulphysik und der damit verbundenen Methoden moderner optischer Physik. Durch die klar strukturierten Kapitel wird der Leser mit den wichtigsten Phanomenen und Modellen der Atom- und Molekulphysik vertraut gemacht und an deren aktuelle Entwicklungen in der modernen Forschung herangefuhrt.
