Leading innovations in pneumatic and hydraulic systems Power
Transmission and Motion Control presents a collection of papers
showcased at PTMC 2000 at the University of Bath. Representing the
work of researchers and industry leaders from around the world,
this book features the latest developments in power transmission,
with an emphasis on hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
Insight into current projects on the forefront of technology and
innovation provides an overview of the current state of the field,
while informing ongoing work and suggesting direction for future
projects.
A collection of 25 papers from the fifth international Power
Transmission and Motion Control Workshop, that was held at the
University of Bath in September 2003. The focus of the volume is
principally on motion control systems, with an emphasis on
hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components as the means of
power transmission. The book will be of considerable interest to
researchers and practitioners concerned with mechatronics, and
drive systems and their control. Contents include: A
statistically-based fault detection technique for single-stage
electro-hydraulic proportional valves - Catalytic effects of copper
on the oxidation of ester-based lubricants - Effect of model
characteristics on numerical results for a hydraulic high-pressure
nozzle system - The effect of parameter uncertainty on the response
of a pressure compensated mobile valve - Closed loop velocity
control of a small teleoperated hydraulic machine - Active
structural control using hydraulic actuator - Stabilization of a
hydraulic steering unit OSPF - FMECA of an offshore man-riding
winch - A new approach to predict the load carrying ability of the
gap between valve plate and cylinder block - Development of ceramic
pistons and slippers for radial piston pumps
"Power Transmission and Motion Control (PTMC) 2005" comprises 32
papers presented at PTMC 2005 - one of a series of annual
International Workshops held at the University of Bath. This
collection of papers reports on the latest research in the fields
of hydraulic and pneumatic motion control worldwide. The topics
include: drives, transmissions and actuators; hydraulic and
pneumatic components and systems; modelling and simulation;
control; hydraulic fluids, including water and 'smart' fluids;
fault analysis and diagnosis; noise and vibration; and system
design. This volume will be of particular interest to researchers
and practitioners working in the fields of power transmission,
motion control, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Power Transmission and Motion Control 2002 covers a broad range of
topics in the form of papers presented at the annual international
Workshop held at the University of Bath. Including presentations
from an international spectrum of twenty-seven authors, this volume
covers the following topics: - Modelling - Simulation - Control and
identification - Pumps - Transmissions - Fluids - Materials -
Actuation systems - Components and systems - Noise and vibration
The principal focus is on hydraulic and pneumatic devices and
systems, although other forms of power transmission media are also
addressed. Power Transmission and Motion Control 2002 will be of
particular interest to researchers and practitioners working in the
fields of mechatronics, power transmission, and motion control.
