Awarded at the 2022 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. The Mérimée
classic that Bizet brought to the opera is presented here in a new
version, inspired by the choreography by Johan Inger for the
Spanish National Dance Company. Discover the story of Carmen
through the pure and crystal-clear eyes of a child.I am nine years
old. I love playing with my ball and my friend who is a corporal in
the Alcalá Dragoon Regiment. My neighbor Carmen is the most
beautiful woman I know. Everyone loves her, but she prefers to fly.
My neighbor Carmen works in the cigar factory outside my hometown.
She is such a dazzling woman. When the siren sounds signal the end
of the working day, the square gathers a huge crowd of admirers
from all over. However, Carmen is a free spirit, and she always
repeats the same motto: "Love is a rebellious bird that none can
tame, and it is quite in vain that one calls it. If it suits it to
refuse, nothing to be done, threat or plea. An endearing story that
will bring the little ones closer to the world of opera and dance
and will invite readers to reflect on the true nature of love.

A kite trip that will take us around the world to meet the hopes
and dreams of children around the world, from Bolivia to Nepal. If
something is capable of bringing the children of the world
together, that is the ability to dream and imagine a better world.
Every single one of us has with them a kite of dreams, a flying
kite sheltering our hopes and dreams. Through this kite trip, we
will meet Mohesiwa, a boy who lives in the jungle, Amunet, who
can't stop but smiling when imagining a better future, Anja and his
brother Tuvo, who rummage through the garbage to find something of
value... The Kite of Dreams is an invitation to discover the
different cultures of the world and to dream of a better world. A
world with unpolluted air, where every child has access to
education, a world with clean and uncontaminated waters, where
biodiversity is preserved and forests are conserved. And more
importantly, a world in which each child can be happy and reach out
to those who need it.
One spring day, Hannah goes for a walk with her dog Pippin. Along
the way, the little girl comes across people who act strangely…
Are they under a magical spell?Hannah loves taking her dog, Pippin,
for a walk and ambling around the city. Everything is so beautiful
in spring! Insects buzz busily through the air, and the sun shines
brightly. However, Hannah notices that something is not right;
something is going on in the city. Why is her neighbor Carol so
distracted and greets her without even looking into her eyes? And
those children sitting on that park bench, why don't they talk to
each other or play…? Pippin and Hannah, curious, continue walking
through the city trying to solve the mystery. They all seem to have
something on their hands that takes them away from reality!
Determined to show others what they are missing —a very blue sky,
the flowers hanging from the trees...—, Hannah carries out a
plan. Will she be able to wake them up?
