Settled for sixty years, Gulliver Station's young Erin Gillespie,
granddaughter to Conway Gillespie, follows his advice about the
crime syndicate, The Family, he founded. Move slowly, he advised,
manipulate the elections, take over the unions, slow and steady,
don't be greedy. Her lieutenant, James McMahon, thinks she's weak
and misses opportunities for more power and money. He's begun to
challenge her. Meanwhile Rory Patton, a fan of Fergus Boylan's
vision, still tries to make Gulliver Station a fair and safe
society. Who will win?
Gulliver Station is brand new and being populated primarily with
Old Earth Irish. Fergus Boylan, the Provisional Station Manager,
wants to leave the old, corrupt Ireland behind and make station
life fair for all of its residents. Conway Gillespie sees a chance
to start his own crime family and rule the station like his old
boss on Earth. The new residents want a fresh start, free from
corruption and violence, that's why they volunteered to colonize
the station. Who will win this tug of wills?
Gulliver station is a chance for a fresh start. The colonists can
build their own society but not everyone wants a society free from
crime. Slowly, the corrupt few succeed and the station becomes a
pit of corruption in the government and misery for the majority of
the station residents. A few begin the fight to reclaim the
station. Can they turn around the tide of misery?
Three adult fairy tales from the animal world; Unicorn For All, The
Quick Brown Fox and For Want of Rain, about an African Wild Dog.
Tales of greed and arrogance, the stories ask the reader to take an
alternative look at the world. In the annual great circle hunt,
young Kobi has discovered a rare animal, a unicorn. Killing the
unicorn will ensure his fortune and make him famous in the Seven
Tribes. But the animal talks and she promises him good luck for his
entire life if he lets her go. Now he must choose instant fame and
fortune or good luck in the future. In the Quick Brown Fox, the fox
kit is smart and fast, but is he smart and fast enough? For Want of
Rain takes a look at environmental impact from the point of view of
a Wild African Dog.
A short novel with four short stories, Hard Choices looks at life
on Gulliver Station in the time after The Challenge. Weather in the
Biosphere is a tale about two cousins, who make an ill-timed
mistake. Methane Breathers considers communications difficulties
between two different species. Growing up is full of hard choices
as Cassandra Madison in The Conversion discovers. Barrie has lost
his job and must play the game for his family to survive as you'll
read in Dedication Day. The title story, a short novel, takes a
look at life on Gulliver Station from an outsider's point of view.
Between ships, Jolene Harris enjoys leave by herself when things go
horribly wrong. Will she live to reach her new ship, The
Adirondack?

good will toward our fellow human beings. A mix of western, modern
and scifi, this collection brings together short stories that
explore human kindness and charity. The last story in the
collection is a teaser from my upcoming series, Gulliver Station.

Washington is now responsible for his three sisters. Can he make it
to the nearest settlement before the winter cold kills them all? In
Gulliver Station Christmas: The building of Gulliver Station is
behind schedule, the various teams at each other's throats. Will a

schedule? Read these and three other short stories for a warm look
at how the season can change hearts.
