Mindfulness and compassion as secular techniques and attitudes seem to open up spaces for answering needs that we all have: We long for deceleration, reconsideration, acceptance, benevolence and universal human values. However, very few are familiar with the basics of mindfulness and compassion, which have their origins in Buddhism. Systemic approaches, methods and attitudes show similarities with those of Buddhist figures of thought, so that an attempt at synergy suggests itself. How can we, as therapists, incorporate mindfulness and compassion for ourselves, but also in the work process with our clients? How can these aspects enrich our professional relationships and our creative freedom? This book is intended for everyone who wants to be inspired in their counseling and therapeutic work and in their self-reflection process.
