This book describes the nature and origin of the Macraes gold
deposit. It also documents the key features of this spectacular
deposit for a wide range of professionals in the resource geology
community. This world-class gold deposit has been a spectacular
geological and economic success story, as it has developed from a
small historical gold mine in discontinuous quartz veins measuring
only meters to a large-scale mine in deposits spreading over
kilometres in extensive disseminated gold-bearing rock.

Tennessee women fight for their right to vote, compulsory education
for children, racial justice, and equal opportunities. Their
pioneering spirit, vision, and courage enable them to overcome
hardship and adversity to blaze a trail for other women. Ranging
from pioneers to twentieth century activists, their stories inspire
women and girls of today. A one-act play of a woman suffrage rally
in 1913 resounds with the voices of women in winning the right to
vote and highlights the important place of Tennessee women in that
battle. Historical accounts from across the state reflect the
achievements of twenty-two remarkable women. Brenda Vineyard Runyon
opens the nation's first woman's bank in Clarksville. Elizabeth
Rona of Oak Ridge is a pioneer in nuclear chemistry and physics.
Julia Britton Hooks, talented African American musician, founds a
music school and elementary school for African American children in
Memphis. These accounts of historic Tennessee women, written by
contemporary Tennessee women, vividly reflect events in Tennessee
history.
Between Two Worlds is the compelling and beautifully-crafted sequel
to Beyond the Hedge, which showcased magical realism at its finest
and introduced readers to a fantastical land like no other with
deliciously eccentric characters who live in our hearts forever.
Set in the seaside town of Irvine, Mairi Craw's first fantasy novel
chronicled the extraordinary adventures of 11-year old Sandy
Henderson and her cat, Leo, when they chanced upon the parallel
Scottish fairy world of Sylvania, a magical place where anything
can happen and it invariably does. In Between Two Worlds, the
Tartan Fairy Folk and their beloved monarch, Queen Celestina, once
more find themselves plunged into chaos and despair as the dark
shadows of relentless evil, twisted ambition and vile intent
threaten their carefree, happy land. When Pongo, the ebulliently
cheeky fairy dog, arrives unannounced in Scotland, Sandy embarks on
a series of outrageous shenanigans which bring the magic and
enchantments of Sylvania into her home and along the sombre,
menacing corridors of her school, an ancient Victorian mansion with
secrets of its own. What starts out as a merry romp quickly turns
into the ultimate battle between good and evil, with a scourge of a
villain whose malevolence knows no bounds. The chain of events
unleashed threatens to destroy Sylvania and have hideous
repercussions in Scotland too. Sandy joins forces with an
outrageous collection of characters to protect her beloved homeland
while the Tartan Fairy Folk go up against the darkest iniquity
their world has ever seen. Will Queen Celestina and her subjects
survive the ultimate onslaught on all they love and cherish? And
will Sandy be able to make the huge sacrifices demanded of her for
the greater good of those she loves?

The Song Each Bullet Sings: The Story of Operation Iraqi Freedom
Through the Eyes of One Marine is based on real events that
occurred during the main surge of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
The story is told by Marine Corporal Matthew Craw. This is the real
story of the conflict in Iraq. It details the point of view of the
soldier sleeping on the desert floor, the Marine firing a cannon
onto enemy safe houses, and the devil dog and his unit getting
ambushed on the road to Baghdad. This book doesn't just tell the
story of the American Soldier in Iraq, it forces the issues that
our service men and women are dealing with into the public eye by
inviting the reader to live through Corporal Craw's experiences.
America is now constantly finding its veterans in complete mental
and physical disarray upon returning from the war in Iraq. Read The
Song Each Bullet Sings to find out why our soldiers are returning
home scarred. Praise for The Song Each Bullet Sings
"Among the ranks of recent memoirs on the Iraq War, The Song
Each Bullet Sings stands out as an example of deeply reflective and
descriptive writing, almost poetic in its beauty and honesty, which
given the subject matter is no easy task. Many war authors can take
us to the places they fought. Craw takes us further, into the
emotional and deeply personal battlefields of his experiences of a
Marine at war."
Major Benjamin Tupper Author, Greetings from Afghanistan, Send
More Ammo
"Matt Craw serves the reader the same way he served our
country-with passion, commitment, and integrity. His vivid
descriptions of battle deepens our understanding of the strain and
drain of combat-moving beyond the romantic to the searing toll
battle takes on our troops."
Jim Axelrod CBS News Correspondent About the Author
Matthew Craw is a combat veteran of the United States Marine
Corps. He earned his combat action ribbon during Operation Iraqi
Freedom in 2003. His unit, Alpha Battery 1st Battalion 11th
Marines, was a vital part of the regimental combat team that paved
the way for the initial surge of the war. After returning from
combat in Iraq, his gun section was involved in a training
accident; as a result of which, he sustained a traumatic brain
injury (TBI).
Since then, Matthew continues to experience painful migraines,
memory and speech issues. Having trouble with spoken language,
writing has become his outlet. He has combatted his TBI and PTSD to
earn an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Creative Writing
from Brookdale Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in English
with a concentration in Professional Writing from Rider
University.
