When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the centre of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a hidden world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.
Double bill featuring two spoof comedies. 'Epic Movie' (2007) tells the
tale of four fully grown orphans: one the victim of snakes that
attacked her plane, another raised by a kindly Louvre curator, the
third a Mexican 'libre' wrestling refuge, and the last an average
mutant from an 'X'-community. When the curious quartet visits a
sprawling chocolate factory, they stumble across a magical wardrobe
which transports them to the enchanted land of Gnarnia.
Straight-to-video third instalment of the animated children's comedies. Boog (voice of Mike Epps), feeling let down by his friends who are all busy with their families, decides to run away with a Russian travelling circus. There he makes some interesting new friends and falls in love with Ursa (Gina Torres), a Russian-born grizzly bear. But when Boog's friends discover that he has dropped out of their circle, they mount a rescue mission to bring him home and show him just how much he matters to them.
Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper and Crispin Glover star in this American crime drama. Teenager John Tollett (Daniel Roebuck) strangles his girlfriend, Jamie (Danyi Deats), and leaves her body beside the river. As word gets out among the young people of the town, some are torn between keeping faith with their peers or exposing the crime and risking retribution. Matt (Reeves) and Clarissa (Ione Skye) are uncomfortable keeping silent, while speed freak Layne (Glover) believes that as John's friends they should help him cover-up the murder. Layne and John turn to Feck (Hopper) for advice, the local drug dealer and himself a murderer.
Double-bill of fantasy adventures based on the novels by Lewis Carroll. In 'Alice in Wonderland' (2010), Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the magical world of her childhood adventure to reunite with her friends the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Rabbit (voice of Michael Sheen), Tweedledum and Tweedledee (both played by Matt Lucas), the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), the Caterpillar (Alan Rickman) and the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry). Alice discovers her true destiny as she joins forces with the colourful denizens of Wonderland to overthrow the wicked Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter). In 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' (2016), Alice finds herself in a mysterious, alternate world after going through a mirror and emerging on the other side of the glass. While there she discovers that the Mad Hatter is in danger and that Wonderland could be turned into a wasteland by the evil Time (Sacha Baron Cohen). As Alice tries to turn back time in order to save her friend, she once again comes face-to-face with the Red Queen.
Teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) just wants to play electric guitar and date girlfriend Jennifer; he is also determined not to end up a loser in life like his own parents. Father George (Crispin Glover) is a weak-willed failure, bullied at work by his former high school tormentor Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson), while mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) is an alcoholic. Marty's friend and mentor is the eccentric Doctor Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd), who has successfully invented his own time machine in the form of a plutonium-powered Delorean sports car. However, after Marty travels thirty years back in time, he discovers that he doesn't have enough fuel to return to 1985. And, after he accidentally prevents the first ever meeting between his own, teenage parents, Marty's own future birth and present existence is placed in jeopardy!
