The fourth outing in the popular espionage action thriller
franchise based on the Jason Bourne novels by Robert Ludlum.
Written and directed by Tony Gilroy, who scripted the first three
films, the film moves away from the central Bourne character
(played in the opening trilogy by Matt Damon) to focus on a new
protagonist, CIA operative Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner). The film,
which takes up events where 'The Bourne Ultimatum' left off, sees
Cross making the vow to give himself over completely to 'the
operation', and quickly proving himself to be the shining star in a
new generation of deadly undercover assassins. Rachel Weisz and
Edward Norton co-star, while pivotal roles from the previous films
are reprised by Joan Allen, David Strathairn, Albert Finney and
Scott Glenn.
The explosive, behind-the-scenes account of the criminal trial of
the century. In November 2021, Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of
five counts of sex-trafficking of minors, and now faces 55 years in
prison for the role she played in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of four
girls. The trial was meticulously covered by journalist and legal
reporter Lucia Osborne-Crowley, one of only four reporters allowed
into the courtroom every day. The Lasting Harm is her account of
that trial, a gripping true crime drama and a blistering critique
of a criminal justice system ill-equipped to deliver justice for
abuse survivors, no matter the outcome. Centring the stories of
four women and their testimonies, and supplemented by extra
material to which Osborne-Crowley has exclusive access, The Lasting
Harm brings this incendiary trial to life, questions our age-old
appetite for crime and punishment and offers a new blueprint for
meaningful reparative justice.

Life at Full Tilt is a whirlwind tour of Dervla Murphy s travels.
It begins in Spain in 1956, before her first book, and follows in
her tracks for over fifty years, including descriptions of her
beloved Afghanistan in 1963, of the Peruvian Andes, of South, West
and East Africa and most recently of the troubled territories of
Palestine and Israel. Dervla s style of travel, to go somewhere
that interested her and see who she met, made for fresh encounters
every day, recorded faithfully each evening in her journal. She
read hungrily to prepare for her journeys and folded her learning
seamlessly into her books. Finally, between these covers, we are
able to catch up with her work in its entirety. What shines through
is her passionate engagement with the world and its injustices, and
her utter independence of mind. Ethel Crowley, an Irish
sociologist, has for the first time looked at all Dervla s writing
her journalism and her twenty-four books selecting half-a-dozen
extracts from each. She introduces us to a complex character, hard
to pin down, but a role model for women and environmentalists,
Irish to her fingertips and a crucial part of the larger English
tradition of travel writing. With a preface by Colin Thubron
