This bibliography includes scholarly journals, dissertations,
papers, and books published primarily from 1980 through December
1984 that focus on teacher evaluation and merit pay. These
materials are presented in separate chapters, according to the type
of publication in which they appeared. In addition to materials
identified and annotated from a literature search of several
education databases, the authors wrote to public school districts
with student populations of over 5,000 requesting copies of their
teacher evaluation materials. They received 348 sets of evaluation
documents and these materials are annotated in the chapter entitled
School District Publications. Other materials prepared by school
districts are included in the chapter entitled Papers.

What if you could simplify your leadership and life down to 5
simple rules? Culture transformation is not some complex,
unattainable goal. It starts with a doable plan that can be
repeated throughout an organization or home to pave the way for a
cultural reset. In The 5 Rules, author Steve Black
shares 5 rules he learned over 45 years of leading thousands of
employees and teams across the United States. He boils each
rule down to only the essential principles that produce results for
professionals. Steve and his wife have also used these same 5
rules for decades to strengthen the family bond and to develop
strong, generational leadership.  For those looking

outlines a simplified version of the ACT Hexaflex-a key component
of this treatment model-called the Kidflex, to help young clients
build resilience and psychological flexibility. You'll also find
detailed case studies, transcripts, activities, experiential
exercises, worksheets, and session plans to help you develop the
skillset you need to help children overcome disorders such as
stress, anxiety and depression. Finally, you'll find strategies for
involving parents in treatment when appropriate, and enlisting them
as 'ACT coaches' in the child's therapy. It can be difficult to know
where to start when using ACT for individual therapy with children.
That's why the skills in this go-to guide are practical and
easy-to-implement, can be done with children in both face-to-face
therapy and online sessions, and are simple enough for children to
put into practice in any setting-whether it's at home, in school,

For more than three decades the Catholic Church through its Legion of Decency controlled the content of Hollywood films. Studios submitted their films to the Legion for a rating, which varied from general approval to condemnation. Documenting the inner workings of the Legion, The Catholic Crusade Against the Movies examines how the Church acquired such control and how the changes in the movie industry and American society at large in the post-World War II era eventually conspired against that institution's power and led to its demise.
In response to a series of sex scandals that rocked the movie industry in the early 1920s, the Production Code Administration and the Catholic Legion of Decency implemented a code stipulating that movies stress proper behavior, respect for government, and "Christian values." Based on an extensive survey of original studio records, censorship files, and the Catholic Legion of Decency archives (whose contents are published here for the first time), Hollywood Censored examines how hundreds of films were expurgated to promote a conservative political agenda during the 1930s. By taking an innovative view of how movies were made, and the conditions that made them, Hollywood Censored brings together such chapters as "Movies and Modern Literature," "Beer, Blood and Politics," and "Film Politics and Industry Policy" to form a rare look at America's most famous industry.
