A huge glass tower block, touted as the tallest building in the world, bursts into flame on its opening night. An all-star cast includes Steve McQueen as Michael O'Hallorhan, the fire chief determined to get the blaze under control, while Paul Newman stars as embarrassed architect Doug Roberts, trapped inside with fellow guests Fred Astaire, Richard Chamberlain and Robert Wagner. Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) are rivals in business: he working for Fox & Sons, a chain of discount bookstores; she owning a tiny bookshop of her own. However, unaware of their true identities, Kathleen and Joe have begun communicating anonymously via an e-mail chat room, building a strong and caring relationship without ever revealing their names.

9 To 5 (1980)
A comedy about three female office workers in a giant corporation who are subjected to the indignity of a chauvinist boss. They entertain wild fantasies of revenge and decide to 'get even' through a series of outrageous incidents.
