All looked dark for the land of Atillia. Zonar was dead and his friends were being held prisoner. The soldiers in the evil army of Natas felt victory for their serpent master with the fall of the young barbarian. Until the next morning when a familiar red glow suddenly filled the air around Zonar's broken body. With a new burst of life, Zonar must hurry to free his friends before they are executed in the next installment of his first adventure that made him famous.

A month had passed since Zonar and his friends encountered the Kogrogs at Serpent Mountain. On the way out of Amon, they meet a young man from Nagol named Lem. He tells them of the greatest, most valuable treasure in all of Atillia and that he's on the way to claim it. Having no immediate plans of where to go next, Zonar's crew elects to accept Lem's invitation and accompany him on the road to the Tomb of Tagross.

In the year that on the modern calendar would be 400 BC, there was a country in the east that no longer exists today. It has been a long time since the Black Ocean (which is referred to as the Atlantic today, named after this countries capital city of Atlantis) swallowed it. This country was called Atillia. It was the home of great warriors, powerful gods and evil sorcerers. The most well known hero to inhabit the lands of Atillia was a young warrior by the name of Zonar. This is the story of his childhood and the first part of the adventure that made him famous.
