MEXICO CITY, with some 20 million inhabitants, is the largest city
in the Western Hemisphere. Enormous growth, raging crime, and
tumultuous politics have also made it one of the most feared and
misunderstood. Yet in the past decade, the city has become a hot
spot for international business, fashion, and art, and a magnet for
thrill-seeking expats from around the world.
In 2002, Daniel Hernandez traveled to Mexico City, searching for
his cultural roots. He encountered a city both chaotic and
intoxicating, both underdeveloped and hypermodern. In 2007, after
quitting a job, he moved back. With vivid, intimate storytelling,
Hernandez visits slums populated by ex-punks; glittering,
drug-fueled fashion parties; and pseudo-native rituals catering to
new-age Mexicans. He takes readers into the world of youth
subcultures, in a city where punk and emo stand for a whole way of
life--and sometimes lead to rumbles on the streets.
Surrounded by volcanoes, earthquake-prone, and shrouded in smog,
the city that Hernandez lovingly chronicles is a place of
astounding manifestations of danger, desire, humor, and beauty, a
surreal landscape of "cosmic violence." For those who care about
one of the most electrifying cities on the planet, ""Down &
Delirious in Mexico City "is essential reading" (David Lida, author
of "First Stop in the New World").
This volume contains the proceedings of the XII Symposium of
Probability and Stochastic Processes which took place at
Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan in Merida, Mexico, on November
16-20, 2015. This meeting was the twelfth meeting in a series of
ongoing biannual meetings aimed at showcasing the research of
Mexican probabilists as well as promote new collaborations between
the participants. The book features articles drawn from different
research areas in probability and stochastic processes, such as:
risk theory, limit theorems, stochastic partial differential
equations, random trees, stochastic differential games, stochastic
control, and coalescence. Two of the main manuscripts survey recent
developments on stochastic control and scaling limits of
Markov-branching trees, written by Kazutoshi Yamasaki and Benedicte
Haas, respectively. The research-oriented manuscripts provide new
advances in active research fields in Mexico. The wide selection of
topics makes the book accessible to advanced graduate students and
researchers in probability and stochastic processes.

Integral transforms, such as the Laplace and Fourier transforms,
have been major tools in mathematics for at least two centuries. In
the last three decades the development of a number of novel ideas
in algebraic geometry, category theory, gauge theory, and string
theory has been closely related to generalizations of integral
transforms of a more geometric character.
"Fourier Mukai and Nahm Transforms in Geometry and Mathematical
Physics" examines the algebro-geometric approach (Fourier Mukai
functors) as well as the differential-geometric constructions
(Nahm). Also included is a considerable amount of material from
existing literature which has not been systematically organized
into a monograph.
Key features: Basic constructions and definitions are presented
in preliminary background chapters - Presentation explores
applications and suggests several open questions - Extensive
bibliography and index.
This self-contained monograph provides an introduction to
current research in geometry and mathematical physics and is
intended for graduate students and researchers just entering this
field."
This book develops, for the first time, a qualitative model for the
representation of spatial knowledge based only on locative
relations between the objects involved.
The core of this book is devoted to the study of qualitative
inference methods that take into account the rich structure of
space. These methods can be applied to quite a number of areas
characterized by uncertain or incomplete knowledge, as for example
geographic information systems, robot control, computer-aided
architectural design, and natural language information systems.

This volume contains papers which were presented at the XV Latin
American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics
(CLAPEM) in December 2019 in Merida-Yucatan, Mexico. They represent
well the wide set of topics on probability and statistics that was
covered at this congress, and their high quality and variety
illustrates the rich academic program of the conference.
This volume provides a general overview of discrete- and
continuous-time Markov control processes and stochastic games,
along with a look at the range of applications of stochastic
control and some of its recent theoretical developments. These
topics include various aspects of dynamic programming,
approximation algorithms, and infinite-dimensional linear
programming. In all, the work comprises 18 carefully selected
papers written by experts in their respective fields. Optimization,
Control, and Applications of Stochastic Systems will be a valuable
resource for all practitioners, researchers, and professionals in
applied mathematics and operations research who work in the areas
of stochastic control, mathematical finance, queueing theory, and
inventory systems. It may also serve as a supplemental text for
graduate courses in optimal control and dynamic games.

This book is a study guide and is not meant to replace the Bible.
Some people are not familiar with biblical terms and this gives
them the Good News of Jesus Christ with terms that are more
familiar. Jesus Christ is the center of the Bible and everything in
the Bible revolves around him from the beginning to the end of the
Bible. In this book you will find the life of Jesus Christ in
chronological order. If you cant say in your mind "In the name if
Jesus Christ I rebuke you" then you probably have some sort of
unclean spirit or demonic possession and need God in your life and
this is a good place to start.

Es esto amor? Acaso he estado enamorado(a) alguna vez en mi vida?
Mi pareja es el amor de mi vida? Alguna vez me enamorare? Son
preguntas que nos hemos hecho constantemente. Preguntas que
raramente tienen alguna respuesta concisa. Preguntas que la mayoria
evaden. Preguntas que dieron vida a este libro. Enamorame intenta
dar respuesta a esas preguntas de una manera sencilla y realista.
Enamorame busca ayudarte a encontrar eso que todos llaman amor
verdadero... solamente para que seas feliz.
