This book focuses on the European Union as an important actor in
international relations and international political economy. The EU
negotiates international economic agreements, represents Europe in
international organizations, and is a major trading bloc and
currency area. To what extent and under what conditions the EU can
use its considerable economic power to assert its interests in the
international arena is a relevant question for students,
researchers and practitioners alike. To explore this question, the
textbook introduces the concept of "actorness" and presents an
overview of the actorness debate and theories used to explain
actorness. In addition, it includes three empirical chapters on
trade, finance and climate policy that apply various concepts and
theories to study European actorness in the respective policy
areas.
This open-access book is based on the observation that learning
ecosystems are increasingly established in higher education
institutions. However, an important aspect that is still missing is
their interconnectedness. Consequently, the book intends to close
this gap by introducing the concept of a distributed learning
ecosystem (DLE). A DLE follows the idea of establishing an
interlinkage between decentralised learning ecosystems (consisting
of content repositories and educational resources) and thus serves
as an integrated approach that enables learners to access and use
learning content and share resources.

Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Politik -
Internationale Politik - Klima- und Umweltpolitik, Note: 1,0,
Eberhard-Karls-Universitat Tubingen (Fakultat der Sozial- und
Verhaltenswissenschaften, Institut fur Politikwissenschaft ), 84
Deutschland - 1848, Kaiserreich, Imperialismus, Note: 1,7,
Technische Universitat Darmstadt, Veranstaltung: Proseminar: Neuere
Geschichte, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese wissenschaftliche
Arbeit behandelt als ubergeordneten Themenkomplex das
Sozialistengesetz im deutschen Kaiserreich, welches von 1878-1890
galt.
