Rumour has it that there's a monster in the woods. But why doesn't
anyone do something about it? Frith is determined to save the day,
and with her hard-working dad, younger brother, Spuggy, and dog
(called Cabbage), Frith will travel to the big city to convince the
king that Something Must Be Done. Along the way, she'll encounter a
Big Wise Head, a mysterious squirrel, and discover that, perhaps,
not all is as it seems . . . Full of wit and wisdom, Monster in the
Woods is a future classic tale about family, friendship, and first
impressions.

are new mysteries for Emily, Daphne and George to solve! Who has
stolen a painting from Pilkington Art Gallery? (And why? It's not
even a very good one!) How can they get rid of a new headmistress
who threatens the very future of the library? And why are there
cows all over the sports field? Expect the unexpected as Emily Lime
investigates!
Daphne is off to St Rita's, an exclusive girls' boarding school. It sounds awfully respectable and Daphne herself is awfully respectable too. She loves to read, and is delighted to be offered the chance to interview for Librarian's assistant's assistant immediately upon arrival. But it turns out nothing is quite what you'd expect at St Rita's - you can't trust a padlock if the fourth graders are around, the floor has holes from cannonballs, the smell in the dining room is disgustingly foul, and Daphne discovers the librarian doesn't really exist. But there is a librarian's assistant, Emily Lime. And she's really a crime-solving genius, who's looking for a new assistant of her own. And booksmart Daphne is just the girl for the job, because mystery and intrigue are about to strike St Rita's and Emily Lime is going to need all the help she can get...

only by candles. Thirteen chairs, one empty. Twelve ghostly
storytellers, waiting to begin. Come in! Take your place. We have
been expecting you. Do you dare to listen to our stories? Do you
dare to tell your own? Jack is a curious boy. Are you curious too?

A boy and a bear go to sea, equipped with a suitcase, a comic book
and a ukulele. They are only travelling a short distance and it
really shouldn't take long. But their journey doesn't quite go to
plan . . . Faced with turbulent storms, a terrifying sea monster
and the rank remains of a very dangerous sandwich, the odds are
against our unlikely heroes. Will the Harriet, their trusted
vessel, withstand the violent lashings of the salty waves? And will
anyone ever answer their message in a bottle? Brilliantly funny and
tender, this beautiful book maps the growth of a truly memorable
friendship and explores how, when all else is lost, the most

My brain never seems to turn off. It is in constant creative mode.
Story/script ideas, cartoons, thoughts, anecdotes, lyrics,
melodies. it's a never ending brain explosion. And I have to have
some kind of noise stimulus around me just to try and distract me
because if I try to quiet it, the silence is deafening. That is why
I decided to put together this book as a cathartic release, a
spring cleaning (so to speak) of my brain just to make room for the
next explosion. Enjoy the garage sale that is my mind and I hope
you find something you can fill your head with. - Dave Shelton
