Formulation remains one of the most important activities that those
using psychological approaches undertake as part of their work.
Arguably, however, formulation is an activity that remains poorly
understood. In a current climate demanding quick fix solutions
there is a tendency, which the authors refuse, towards
over-simplification. Instead this book sets out to explore the
challenging complexity of psychological formulation. By drawing on
a wide range of sources from psychology and the arts the authors
find ways to honour the stories clients tell yet offer key
psychological insights to facilitate change. They provide a clear
guide to enable the reader to think about the purpose of their work
with clients, the perspectives which inform it and the process used
to ensure effective outcomes. The chapters, supported by exercises
on key issues, examine key debates on the role of formulation in
professional practice, a framework for developing a systematic
approach to formulation and a detailed account of the purpose,
perspective and process of formulation.
This book showcases scholarly work from leading coaching
psychologists and coaches from different parts of the world, each
contributor providing thoughtful analysis of group dynamics, family
systems and psychotherapeutic approaches to family business
coaching.Providing both a theoretical groundwork and a practical
application of group dynamic issues to family business coaching
practices makes this volume an essential compendium for the
coaching psychology and a useful groundwork to understanding group
dynamics of a family business. It also describes practitioner's
input in family business coaching practices, with specific
reference to knowledge enhancement and developing innovative and
reflective coaching practices appropriate to family businesses
around the world. This new outlook at partnership between group
dynamics and family businesses in diverse settings make this a key
reference book for family businesses, practitioners, business

This volume is a record of a meeting entitled "Heparin and Related
Polysaccharides" that was held at the Biomedical Center, Uppsala,
Sweden between 1-6 September 1991. The meeting was hosted by U.
Lindahl, L. Kjellen and I. Bjork, who were helped in their
preparations by a scientific advisory panel that included U.
Abildgaard, B. Casu, E. Holmer and D. Lane. Altogether, 230
participants from 18 countries attended the meeting, and most were
present to be included in a photograph, which is to be found at the
end of this volume. The selection of presentations for inclusion in
the Symposia of the meeting was made on the basis of the known high
quality of the work of the individuals or groups involved. This, we
believe, is reflected in the contents of the enclosed articles,
which collectively give a comprehensive overview of the present
state of knowledge of heparin and related compounds. Some of the
areas covered are evolving or controversial and the views expressed
in each article should be regarded as those of the author(s). The
authors have taken various amounts of care to define all their
abbreviations and some familiarity with the different forms of
nomenclature used in the fields of polysaccharide chemistry and of
the coagulation proteinases and their inhibitors will assist the
reader.

Hawkmoths are large charismatic insects with highly variable and
colourful larvae. Some species are specialised in their habitat
preferences, but others are widespread and often encountered in
gardens. However, little is known about most species, and
associating the adults with their larvae has previously been
difficult or impossible. Hawkmoths of Australia allows
identification of all of the Australian hawkmoths for the first
time and treats species found on mainland Australia and all
offshore islands. It presents previously undescribed life histories
of nearly all species and provides a comprehensive account of
hawkmoth biology, including new parasitoids and their hawkmoth
hosts. Detailed drawings and photographs show the external and
internal morphology of adults and immatures, and eggs, larval
instars and pupa. Keys are provided for last instar larvae and
pupae of the 71 species that the authors have reared. A glossary,
appendices to parasitoids and larval foodplants, an extensive
reference list with bibliographical notes and a comprehensive index
conclude the book. The wealth of new information in this book makes
it an essential reference for anyone interested in these moths.
