1983 BBC mini-series adapted from Charlotte Brontë's classic novel. Young orphan Jane Eyre (Zelah Clarke) becomes the governess at Thornfield Hall, the mansion of the mysterious Mr Rochester (Timothy Dalton). The two fall for each other but there are strange goings-on in the house and the reason behind these events eventually causes Jane to leave. Comedy crime drama written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. Millionaire Cecil Fox (Rex Harrison) feigns terminal illness in an attempt to trick three of his former mistresses. Hoping to find out which of the women really cares for him and not just for his money, Fox hires struggling actor William McFly (Cliff Robertson) to play his servant. The three women soon appear at his bedside, but what was intended to be a joke soon turns into a drama as one of his former lovers attempts to give nature a helping hand by speeding him on his way to the afterlife.

Final adventure for the first incarnation of television's favourite time traveller. The Doctor (William Hartnell), Ben and Polly arrive at the South Pole Tracking station in 1986, just as a strange satellite enters Earth's orbit, affecting the latest space mission. The Doctor predicts that the new arrival is Mondas, Earth's long-lost twin planet, and is proved correct when the base is invaded by the Cybermen, the planet's ruthlessly logical and seemingly invulnerable inhabitants.
