In recent years, it has become apparent that there are very
distinct gaps between developed and developing regions in the
world, especially in regards to e-government systems,
infrastructures, and processes. Digital Public Administration and
E-Government in Developing Nations: Policy and Practice examines
e-government from the perspective of developing nations and
addressing the issues and concerns arisen in its systems and
processes. This publication is a valuable and insightful tool for
researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and students in
different fields who are interested in information systems, public
policies, politics, and media and communication studies.
A book of reminiscences of both the Sepecat Jaguar and of Thumrait
and its people from 1977 to 2014 - The era of the Jaguar. For those
who lived the times it should bring back some memories of the great
times we had there and for those who were unfortunate enough not to
have known Thumrait, this is a glimpse of the life we led. For the
modellers and historians it is a reference loaded with photographs
of the Jaguar both on the ground and in the air.
Three feature-length Doctor Who adventures. In 'Doctor Who and the
Silurians' (1970), Jon Pertwee stars as the third Doctor, who is
called to an atomic research station in Derbyshire to investigate a
series of mysterious events. His questions uncover a vicious ring
of in-house saboteurs and something a bit more slimy. In 'The Sea
Devils' (1972), after visiting their old enemy the Master (Roger
Delgado) in his remote island prison, the Doctor (Pertwee) and Jo
learn of several recent accidents at sea, all of which have been
accompanied by reported sightings of strange monsters. The Doctor
discovers that the creatures responsible are the Sea Devils,
acquatic cousins of the Silurians who are out to reclaim the planet
Earth from mankind. In 'Warriors of the Deep' (1983), The Doctor
(Peter Davison), Tegan and Turlough arrive at an underwater base on
an Earth in the future on the brink of Atomic War. Helping to
trigger this war are the planet's original inhabitants, the
Silurians and the Sea Devils, aided by their killer pantomime
horse, the Myrka.

he's at the occulist for an eye appointment or by witlessly calling
an Escort service for a ride to the hospital. Included here is the

ocean in later years to find her purpose in life. Ever This Day,

Distinction rounds out Dave's offering of his writing from 2013.

TEARS and LAUGHTER is David Griffin's often humorous, sometimes
tragic, account of his thirty years as a police officer in North
West England. It follows his journey from raw young recruit to
experienced senior officer, introducing some of the people he met
along the way and describing many of the rewards and frustrations
of his chosen career. He writes from the heart, with an openness
and honesty which is often disarming and always intriguing,
describing his innermost thoughts and doubts. The story follows him
from uniformed constable, through CID, Firearms Team and various
other specialist units, eventually rising to the rank of Chief
Inspector. He also gives us a glimpse into his private life,
describing some of the choices, dilemmas and tragedies which shaped
the man. TEARS and LAUGHTER is a unique record of policing during
the late 20th and early 21st centuries, as seen through the eyes of
one man who experienced it. You will laugh out loud and cry real
tears as you join him on his journey.
The third volume of David Griffin's Windswept Journal, Dave's
latest stories and essays take the reader from a heavenly fishing
stream in the mountains to a fast train leaving Grand Central
Terminal in Manhattan to a tree house in the suburbs. Come along
with the author as he remembers the sexiest car of his youth, his
crazy neighbors and a mighty blizzard.
The author's Catholic boyhood provided enough story material for
the rest of his life. And in this collection of tales he makes a
worthy start. More Stories from the Windswept Journal.
