Professor Korah's short monographs on specific topics within EC competition law are well known and widely used. This work follows the pattern of her previous books on group exemptions for technology transfer and parallel imports. It examines the regulation on vertical agreements, starting with a chapter on the economic background, before developing, in a series of chapters, a careful analysis of vertical agreements and all of the relevant case law. A further chapter deals with agreements which do not come within the regulation, again paying careful attention to the case law.
Andy is a physics PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He's read "Dating for Engineers", a book which claims that an intelligent technical student can use his intelligence to be more successful with women. He comes to Madison with this in mind, and quickly falls for a beautiful woman, or actually two beautiful women, who however both seem absurdly out of his league. But will he be able to use his intelligence and technical know-how to win their hearts? Probably not, but it makes for a good story ...
When a beautiful young physics student in Istanbul and a successful young executive almost meet one evening after dark, it is the start of a remarkable tale of political intrigue which winds through romantic heroism, incomprehensible physics and cruel deception, which the protagonists themselves and the Belgian government may not survive.
