This is my perspective as an average American citizen who has become increasingly disillusioned with our elected officials. Extreme partisan politics created a government that is too dysfunctional to be effective. Meaningful legislation is derailed due to ideological divides. In the meantime, our once great country edges closer to irrelevance as our leaders imbibe in self-aggrandizement. This book is a clear-eyed take on some of the most pressing issues that our country is currently facing, and more importantly, some prudent, common-sense solutions to these issues. Left to politicians on the fringes, the ship of state will never be righted.
